Not to sound like a lush, but I'm thinking we will need 3 cases of beer for our upcoming trip. Is Garden Grocer the only place I can order a case from? We won't have a rental car and were planning on using ME.

We used Garden Grocer last month to have a case of beer delivered (as well as food). It was around $20 for the case and it was so easy to have them deliver it. I just had to fax over my ID so they knew I was 21!

garden grocer just quoted me $20.33 plus tax and $12 delivery for a case of 24 cans of budweiser. I was ordering other groceries anyway.

I believe you have to order at least $40 worth of food before you can place a request for alchohol with Garden Grocer. They won't deliver just beer.

how long is your trip and how many drinkers!??!?!? That's a LOT of beer!:rotfl2:

:drinking1 Beer is one thing you can never have too much of.

Running out, however, can prove to be disasterous.

Lost my taste for beer after college (in the Dark ages of the 70's!!!:rotfl2: )

Now if I was to run out of those tasty frozen concoctions while at WDW, THAT would be a disaster!!!!
DD has made me promise NOT to drink her Grey Goose slushie while she shops. Of course I agreed;)

I am pretty that sure that if you have already had an initial order with Garden Grocer, they will do a second order with just a "beer run" and the $12 delivery fee.

We stayed at Fort Wilderness for 2 weeks back in September of '05.

I decided to purchase beer in FL as opposed to lugging it from Pennsylvania. We stopped at Wal-Mart in Daytona Beach, and I picked up, I believe it was 2 cases (24 cans) and 2 "18 Packs". Well, about 10 days into the vacation I began to run out. After spending $9.60+ tax at the trading post for a six pack, I knew I had to do something different.

I decided to take the bus to Downtown Disney, and walked to Goodings supermarket from there. I can tell you it was at least a half mile in each direction, and it could not have been less than 93 degress that afternoon. When I asked the woman at Goodings to put them in bags (so I can take them back on the bus) she looked at me like I was nuts. This is why running out can prove disastrous!!

Now keep in mind that my wife did imbibe in a few as well, so it wasn't just me. I also remember bringing a bunch of it home.

Where do you get the Grey Goose Slushie ????:hippie:

I agree - NEVER shop after a Grey Goose Citron Slushy! Aribbas Bros crystal is my huge downfall.

They can be purchased at the kiosk in France across from Chefs de France. Along with a Grand Marnier Slushy, and something evil looking in bright pink called Nuvo sparkling vodka.

Oh, and when I say "along with" I don't mean you should have all three :rotfl2:

We have had it delivered doing Garden Grocer, but last trip we discovered an easier and CHEAPER way!!! My husband and BIL took the bus to Pleasure Island and walked across the street to the gas station and bought the beer they wanted and then took the bus back. LOL :)

The Hess station across the street from DTD is a great way to buy beer pop or anything else. They also have fresh brewed coffee, hot pizza by the slice, hot dogs nacho's and other hot food. We went to get a case of water and also got a slice of pizza and a pop for way less then you could get it at WDW.

Can you order beer from Garden Grocer's website, or do you have to call them directly? Can you order any other kind of alcoholic drinks from GG?

Okay, but if I buy my 3 cases of beer at the gas station in DTD then I have to transport them back to the POP on the bus....I can already hear the heckling (SP?). By the time we pay for a taxi wouldn't it be just as cheap to do Garden Grocer?

Well, what my husband and BIL did was take my nephew's stroller with them to throw it in, so they didn't have to carry it the whole way(I know it sounds bad... ;)) Then I think they asked for bags maybe at the gas station, but when they got back on the bus they were surprised b/c everyone was asking where they got it from. The other people on the bus were all impressed/jealous that they had figured a place to get it.. LOL I would have felt awkward as well, though, so I can understand that... But it is definitely an option for you..:)
