Carve pumpkins this year? What design?

I haven't seen many pumpkins/jack-o-lanterns out in our neighborhood this year so I was just wondering if anyone other than us carved pumpkins this year? The pic of ours is in my signature. DS picked out an alien for me to carve in his pumpkin and I told him the design of the small one was going to be a surprise. He loved the mickey head!

What design/face did everyone else do? Any pics??

We haven't carved yet. We are going to a pumpkin carving party on Saturday. I love your Mickey head. I think I'll carve mine that way.

We had just carved our pumpkin today and it is a witch stirring a pot. It turned out really nice.

I did the same one! I was surprised at how nicely it turned out. I also craved a smaller pumpkin and it's of a ghost. It's really cute.

We just has a small pumkin party for DS and some of his friends this past weekend, had fun with games and snacks, they are all in 6th grade and didn't want to go the the school halloween confused: .But havn't seen that many carved ones yet.

We held a Pumpkin Carving this past Sunday. Over 30 people attended.

All the pumpkins came out awesome. Most of the children carved their own pumpkin with very little help from their parent. They carved cats, owls, bats, dragons, spiders. All got prizes for their masterpiece.

It was a fun day, one of the hits of the party was a bat pinata the grandchildren and I made.

I carved the headless horseman.

On Friday GD had her class over for squash and pumpkin painted. Some sponged their pumpkins others painted faces. They added glitter, ribbons, eyes. One GD painted a butternut squash like a ghost and added glitter.

My dd did a Winnie the Pooh that was really good! Unfortunately it's been a little warm and I think it's trash now!

I bought two of the carvable pumpkins that are made out of some kind of foam/plastic anyway they will last forever and we have Pooh on one and Piglett on the other. Next year maybe we can do Tigger and Eeyore. Then Megan got a real pumpkin at the pumpkin patch so we will just carve it normal.
