Cartier Car Service- TOP NOTCH!!!

I will NOT use Cartier and will NOT recommend them ever to anyone!

We had reserved FL Tours to pick us up (9/28). Apparently it was CARTIER who "intercepted" our driver by copying our name onto his sign. As our first town car trip, I didn't know anything except look for our name on a sign. I had no clue our driver was not from FL Tours until I called FL Tours to change our pick up location, and he said we weren't listed as being picked up from them! Lucky for us they were awesome about it and picked us up at no charge to take us to the airport, but what CARTIER did was totally wrong! That's bad business practices and I will not support a company who acts in that way.

Dangerous word....... if you are not SURE, you shouldn't accuse. And if it WAS a Cartier DRIVER...... how do you know he acted on behalf of the company??
 
It's to bad YOU did not notice the name of the company on the sign. We had made reservations with A company and had cancelled and changed to Cartier. When we came down the stairs there stood the driver for the company that we had cancelled with holding the sign. I didn't see Cartier anywhere. We knew it was the wrong company because of the company name on the top. He asked if that was our name on the sign and when I said yes but sorry we had cancelled he then turned around and motioned for another driver. This driver picked up a sign that was behind a desk. This sign said CARTIER across the top and had our names on it. Cartier (JULIO) was not standing next to this other company waving a sign with our name on it waiting to see who was right or who was wrong. We thought this was very professional of our Cartier (JULIO) driver not to make a scene. We explained what had happened and were on or way.
Was your sign hand wrote? Ours was a nice computer colorful print out.
From what I have read everyone has good and bad happen with every company. We just got lucky.
Even though the whole thing was a mess did you have good service with Cartier? Glad things worked out for you in the end.:D

Am I missing something here???? Fl Tours didn't even have you listed as making a reservation?? Somethings wrong here! Are you sure you made the reservation with Fl Tours?? If you did it sounds like they didn't even send anyone to pick you up. If I'm getting this wrong let me know.

I know that alot of the car companies use other cars when overbooked(we got Cartier when we had booked Tiffany last year). Since then we only use Cartier and have had great service!

Did you accidently book both Cartier and Florida Tours and forget to cancell one? On another thread you said Cartier had your information about drop off and pick up at the hotel. They also called you at your home phone about pickup at the Beach Club. How would they have that info if you hadn't contacted them? Something doesn't seem right here.
 
Amy made reservation with FL TOURS. And we were there to pick her up except we did not get her. When we couldn’t find her at the airport we left a message to her at the resort. When she arrives at her resort she gets the message but thought, well, they found me afterwards and didn’t see the need to call back. we, on the other hand assumed she was a “NO CALL NO SHOW” and ended up canceling the reservation. When she was ready to return she called us to update us of her resort. This is where we determined her reservation was cancelled because what it happened on her arrival day. It wasn’t deleted, but was put in a cancelled folder, which was why we didn’t recognized right away.

When she insisted she was brought by our driver that day that had her name on sign, I said no problem, and that I will be there to pick her up. And gave her a ride to the airport at no charge and thank her for choosing FL TOURS. Now, it’s true I was bothered by not knowing who brought her even questioned my own colleagues integrity but I the end, I had to take her word for it and do right the thing.

FYI, FL TOURS is one of the very few companies operating at the airport who prints your name on a computer almost all the time when coming to the air port to meet our guests. Most everyone has a laminated sign of their companies but right your name on erasable markers. This would not make it as convenient for our drivers to just switch names whenever they wanted too.

Why does it seem like any time someone posts something "not so good" that happened, everyone acts like they must be wrong? I didn't see any notices stating I can only write about good experiences.

Yes, my predicament was my fault because I didn't look at the sign. Rookie mistake, I guess. One I will not make again.

Mermaid02, "Apparently" is not a strong word. They said Cartier when they called me stating the driver was waiting to pick me up.

PoohBear7, Cartier called my cell phone, not my home phone. They were given that information when they dropped me off at the hotel. And no, I never booked with them.

Padre Disney, yes the sign was written in earasable marker and it wasn't a print out.

I'm sorry if you can't understand someone having a bad experience with Cartier. I've voiced my opinion on their service, and that's all I'm saying about it. I'm not turning this thread into a debate. I'm glad those of you that have used Cartier have had good service, and I hope noone ever has the problem that I had.

All I have to say is that all this towncar stuff has been the most stressful part of my planning for my recent trip....all the services are really getting bashed...something a year back didn't happen as much....sure there were bad experiences but this is out of control. I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed for a good experience!
