Carthay Circle Parade Package Question

My husband and I are visiting Disneyland for the first time this June. We are huge Disney World fans (and DVC owners). We booked the Paint the Night Package at Carthay Circle. I had a question about the pre-fixe menu. The first course is asparagus (which I absolutely hate). I know it says no substitutions. Do you think they would be willing to substitute something else? I would be happy with literally anything else even the kid’s salad from the pre-fixe kid’s menu. For $100 per person, I just really want to be able to enjoy every course.

You might want to keep an eye on crowd reports to see if you even need a package for viewing. Lots of reports of empty space just prior to parade time. Of course, that's with 2 performances a night right now, and that could change. But do watch. Because if it's easy to get a spot on your own, you could just book CC for a regular lunch or dinner and order whatever you like. I never understood the inflexibility of these more expensive prix fixe dinner packages.

I do agree that prefixe menus are very inflexible and for the cost and I don’t understand that. However, we really are mostly doing it for the parade seating (the chairs you get to sit in during the parade). Plus, I’m a little concerned about it being more crowded in June. We will be there on a weekend, during Grad Nights, and Pirates reopens that day in DL. Not sure if those factors will make it more crowded, but we wanted to try the package out. And aside from the asparagus app, the rest of the menu looks quite good.

My Granddaughter and I did this package last Sunday. We absolutely loved it. Sorry I can't answer your question about substituting items (we didn't ask) but we had a delightful time. First time eating there. Our waiter CJ was sooo friendly and made our dining experience so much fun. Loved being able to sit in the chairs in the reserved area for PTNP. We wanted to eat there any way .... so it was a win / win for us.

Did you search on here for other posts about it? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere they allowed you to sub a salad for the asparagus.

One of our girls is a vegetarian and picky and the server was very accomodating, even when we were on the WOC and Frozen packages. One tip is to give yourself 90+ minutes for your meal. Service is very "leisurely".

We just ate there last night When the soup course came, I tasted it and it was too spicy for me. I figured it was pre-fix so didn't mention it to the server. However, he noticed I wasn't eating it and asked me if it had too much spice. Once I said yes, he was super kind and asked if I wanted anything else as a substitute. I ended up with an amazing creamy tomato bisque. He was also wonderful and put the sauce for the steak on the side as it also has quite the kick to it.

I have to say, the meal was fantastic, and the seats were well worth it. They were comfortable, and spaced out very nicely.

Great information! Thank you!
