I figure that since many people like to have carts at the Fort we may want to start a thread about them.....here it what I have found so far.....
fyi this is for a trip 4/28/12-5/7/12

DISNEY: approximately $565
Kenny (ttimegolfcarts@aol.com) $315 quoted includes drop-off and pick-up
Orlandogolfcartrentals.com $300 + tax quoted includes drop-off and pick-up

what else is out there??? who have people used?? I have seen a lot of positive reviews about Kenny and that is probably who we will go with. But like i said previously I am hoping to turn this thread into a resource for people looking for affordable options renting a cart.

I was going to save this information for my upcoming trip report from the trip we returned from last week, but here's the deal on golf carts at the Fort. Many people will tell you that the two outside vendors you mentioned above are the only two allowed to do business at the fort, but that is not true. DISNEY'S OFFICIAL POSITION IS THAT NO OUTSIDE GOLF CART VENDORS ARE ALLOWED AT THE FORT. Sorry - I wasn't screaming there...just capped for affect. This doesn't mean you can't get one though. The loophole comes with Disney allowing people to bring their private buggies onto the property. This means that they can't tell if you brought your own or rented from a vendor. You can simply meet the vendor at the Outpost parking lot and drive it onto the site and what will Disney do? Nothing cuz they can't tell if you own or rented it. As it turns out, Kenny just drove right onto the property and right up to my cabin door. I asked him how he did that and he kinda shrugged and grinned as if there were some unwritten rule that Disney knows who he is and what he's up to and they let him do his thing. Anyway, that's all I have to add, except that Kenny doesn't have 6-seaters, but Orlandogolfcartrentals does have them. Oh, and another nice piece of info that we've discussed here before is that a 4-person cart can be used for more than 4 people as long everyone is seated and nobody is lap riding. We had 6 people, but 4 slimmer kids, so we all fit nicely on a 4-seater.

Did anyone rent from Orlando Golf Cart Rental? They quoted me $208.65 w/ tax for 12/10/11-12/17/11. I think that's a great deal. I was just curious about their custmer service, like if they delivered on time, etc.
Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Angie

More power to you if you can get that rate, but it seems too good to be true. Let us know if this happens for you.

That's what I thought. Its hard to trust people whom you've never met! I only found discussions that people used Kenny not Orlando. I posted on a few other sites so I think I'll wait to hear if anyone responds, good or bad before I make a decision. Ill let ya know!!!

Thanks,

Angie

I just got an email from Steve (we are renting a 6 person golf cart) and his cell number changed. I'm not sure if it's okay to post it but if anyone is looking to get a hold of him feel free to pm me.

I actually hope you can get it for that price. It just seems so low. The two companies mentioned (although perfect strangers to you and me) have great reputations for delivering the goods.

Well I called and booked through Orlando Golf Cart Rentals and it was indeed $208.65 for 7 days. Free delivery!! That's crazy compared to Disney's $455!! I would not have know you could do this if not for this post. The man I talked to was Danny and he was super nice. If anyone is interested you can check out the website listed in the first post and call the number or contact him through the website. He got back to me really quickly.
He said they drop off the carts @ FW around 1pm everyday by the Tri-Circle Ranch so they are they when you arrive for check-in by 3pm. Then when you leave you just drop the cart off in the same spot and they pick up later. I liked that idea of not having to try and get a hold of someone and wait around for our cart to be delivered or picked up!!
Thanks for all the posts!!!

WOW!!! My rate with Kenny was $280.00. That was for half the day on Tuesday, full days from Wed-Tuesday and then the next Wed morning....so 8 days really. You got a great deal.

Howdy Campers!
We need a six seater so my options are limited, I have a quote of $300 for a week's rental from Cartland of Lakeland and hadn't seen them mentioned anywhere on the boards. Has anybody used them?
Thanks!

I have also called and spoke to Danny, we are renting 3 golf carts (we will be renting 2 cabins next year for my step sons high school graduation and ) and our trip is from 6/15 to 6/23 for a total of $558.00 which includes drop off and delivery.

I just spoke to Kenny at Tee Time and he is in the process of buying some six seater carts! He was the best price of anybody I talked to and from the reviews here I feel confident trusting them. He quoted me $300 for Saturday drop off and pick up the following Sunday

yall might want to know yall keep talking about two different business.
Orlando Golf Cars - Steve
Orlando Golf carts - Danny
Notice the added "T"
Now for the Disney info on outside venders.
Disney does not allow outside golf cart venders "to do Business" on Disney. Meaning they are not to be collecting money or signing rental agreements at the fort. But We are allowed to drop-off and pick-up.
Now Kenny and us email or fax rental agreements and take payment over the phone and only drop-off and pick-up at the Fort.
Infact when I delivery or pick up I tell the security at the gate that I am droping off or Picking up they just tell us to park in over flow lot and ride the cart to the guest.
I do not know how Steve or Danny do it.
We will also be there Halloween giving out candy and more to the TOTers.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the good info.
It should help to clear things up.

This is true. It's no different that using Garden Grocer to deliver food or Orlando Stroller to drop off a kid roller.

PS - I went to a Steely Dan concert in Tuscaloosa 10 days ago (made mp3 recording). Anyway, the 6th song into the set was Deacon Blues....

They got a name for the winners in the world
I want a name when I lose
They call Alabama the Crimson Tide
Call me Deacon Blues

Imagine the crowd roar the first time they sang the refrain :cool1:

PPS - have you seen the recent Old Navy commercial?

My son texted me tonight that MDB practiced at Bryant-Denny Stadium tonight and there is a big houndstooth ribbon at midfield for the April tornado vicitms memorial. Part of the half time show is dedicated to them.
