Has anyone heard anything on when Carsland will be opening? I am planning a trip to California next year but want to go when this has been completed but would also like to go to Comic Con mid July so I am hoping it is complete by then.

I'm sure by then it'll be open. Do you already have your Comic Con passes for next year??

Taken from another board *that has nothing to do with Disney*

We live in San Diego, and DH has gone to Comic-Con every year for the past 8 years. Every year the passes sell out as the "Con" has become more and more popular. DH joins the masses to celebrate comics, sci-fi, fantasy, tv and movies, celebrities, etc. The convention center can barely contain all the people.

DH didn't buy a four day pass last year and they sold out before he could get one. At the last minute he scored a one day pass (for today) so this morning he's taking the trolley downtown to go stand in line and buy passes for next year. Hopefully he'll get some before they sell out again.

He went to pick up his "badge" (basically your name badge/pass to get in) last night at another location and traffic was at a standstill on the roads leading to the location. He was gone for four hours last night just to pick up his "badge".

DH just contacted me. He arrived at 9:00 a.m. and went straight to the "pre-registration" for 2012 and tickets sold out at 8:30. They were only selling 2,500 tickets per day (a fraction of the number normally sold) so he's out of luck unless he can buy one online in the coming months.

They have not announced an end date. But we all know they will try very hard to finish by summer. Latest Al Lutz rumor said they thought it would be by end of June. I'm also waiting to get a better idea of when they will finish. We will probably try to go last week in July or first week in Aug.

No we don't have them yet. We can only get them online so I need to wait until they are available online.
