Will the FP machines open the same time as regular rope drop? Should I send him for FP's while I try the wide-right thing and get in line for the ride and he joins me after getting the FP's?
I would look around the area and wait for DS to get the FP's, then join the line together. People in line don't take kindly to other people try to catch up with members of their party in line. All it takes is it happening to you a couple of times to understand.

We are also staying offsite with no opportunities for EE to DCA.
Of the 3 mornings we will be there, 2 offer DCA EE (Friday & Sunday).
However, Saturday is the one morning we could use our MM for DLR.
BUT!!
Should we consider rope drop on Saturday at DCA the best opportunity to acquire RSR FPs? Then jump to DLR hoping we are still in the MM hour?
Yes, we REALLY want to ride RSR without the 75 minute wait. Would those of you that get to visit these parks regularly advise this newbie the RSR FP is (for lack of better term) more valuable than MM at DLR? (Hope this makes sense)

This is really encouraging to read! A question though, just to clarify. Sorry if it sounds silly:
Do they have an RSR FP line set up before rope drop? So, they scan your tickets and let you through the "gates" up to a certain point? And a line forms for RSR FPs outside the rope drop area?
I have a few questions. What is the wide right technique? How do I find out which days during my stay at Grand Californian are early entry? (And what time?) What technique do you recommend for someone staying on site? We have a 6 year old who is looking forward to RSR.
Will be there the Monday through Thursday after Thanksgiving,
Thanks!
