My mom is going to be in a wheelchair this time around for our trip. We haven't been to Carsland yet so I'm not sure how we go about getting her on the rides? She is recovering from knee surgery and can't walk or stand on her leg for long. I read that in Disneyland some rides you can go to the exit. Does it apply for DCA? We are only going to Carsland and then heading back over to Disneyland.

I know the regular line for RSR is fully accessible. There was a gentlemen in a wheelchair in the line a few spaces behind us. I got on before him, so I didn't see how it works getting on the actual ride. I didn't ride the other rides in Carsland, so I can't comment on those. I'm sure others have more knowledge and will give you a better answer. :)

All rides/ride line are accessible at DCA, so you will go in the regular line.
Some rides - Screamin' & Racers will have you go an alternative way once you reach the FP collection CM, Toy Story will route you different way for the exit.

There is a wheelchair loading zone, but must transfer, on RSR. But you do wait in the regular queue. HOWEVER, you could try the single rider line. My wife and I did this and ended up still in the same car. No guarantees though.

The wheelchair will go in the regular lines in DCA. She can remain seated all the way to the ride. She will need to transfer.

How does the transfer work? Do you load the same way other guests do? I didn't think to look last week and my Mom is disabled. I think she would have a very hard time stepping down into the car and then stepping to get up.

We just got back & did RSR with a GAC/wheelchair.

Once you have waited in the regular line, the line separates & you go to the loading area. It's just like loading in the regular line. However, one time we rode- we didn't get to "race" another car. Another time, we did...go figure.

It's super easy & the wait time is exactly the same as it is for those not in wheelchairs. Worked out great!

The time you didn't was just a fluke. I have only ridden the accessible side and have raced every time.

We've rode a few times from the HA side. I would say its about 1 in 4 you don't race.

That's kinda what I figured. The 1st time we rode, we didn't race & DS was so disappointed. Super glad we did for our last race! :)
