Carsland/RSR question

Hello all,
Going next weekend to DLR and it will be our first time at Carsland (we are AP members so familiar with DLR). Park opens at 8 the day we are going so when can we be in the esplande outside the parks? What time do they let us in the gates? Where does the line for the FP for RSR congregate?

Last question. Our first day is Friday but we were planning on going in to DCA on Saturday? Would Friday be significantly less busy or would it be about the same since it is the summer? TIA

Your days for each park will work well.

Did you sign up for AP early entry?

You can get into the Entry Plaza any time you want. But at 6:30 the security check will open and if you are standing in front of the gates the will sweep you out to go through the check and come back in.

Look for signs for the RSR FP queue. It's at the old Bug's Life FP distribution. The queue will start near the Carthay Circle Theatre, and go back into Hollywood Land.

Due to AP summer block outs (deluxe and below) Saturdays seem to have been less crowded than Fridays and Sundays by my experience.

When we were there this week, as we were riding into DL on the monorail at 7:03 for EE for hotel guests, we saw lines already forming for entry into DCA - not the lines for AP EE, but those waiting for the park to open at 8am.

We were in Carsland on Monday for EE. When the park opened at 8, they had Mater and Lightening rolling down the street in front of CMs holding a rope as the guests were "walked" into Carsland and into the RSR queue. It was quiet a large group of people, we hung out for a bit for them all to pass before trying to navigate our way out.

Thanks for all of your responses very helpful. Now the question is to I abandon my party that don't have APs to go to the EE.

I say you abandon them, then get in the FP line before the masses ascend. They could meet you in the FP line with their tickets and your FP wait and return time would be much shorter!
