Carsland opening?

I'm sure this has been asked about a million times, but when is Carsland expected to open? I did a search, but only found older posts...and since we're on the opposite coast we're a little out of the DL loop.

We've got our first trip planned to DL for late Sept. next year

Next summer, that is vague but official. September should be a great time to visit.

What skiingfast said. Disney will try hard to have Carsland open for summer season.

I'm hedging my bets and have a studio reservation, all completely cancel-able for the 2nd weekend in June (when I would like to go/it may or may not be open), the 4th weekend in June (prefer not to go then, but we have a holiday and it will probably be open), and a weekend near Labor Day (should be open, but the DBF's AP will be expired). Will cancel two of those reservations before May when I'll need the points to do something else with.

I think your question is almost the right question. A better question would be "when is the DCA expansion going to be complete"? Because that encompasses both Cars Land and the new entrance construction for Buena Vista street.

It is rumored Disney is trying hard for June 2012 but is nervous about meeting that date. I would not plan for anything earlier than July 1 myself unless I had changeable dates.
