Cars, Planes, & Trains Oh My!! My first PTR

I can't really think of any specific items. Just take it easy and take breaks... you'll probably have to do that for your kids anyway, so just rest when they do. That's really all we did that made it any different for DW from any other trip. I'm not a napper so I'd go back to the room with DS and DW, get them settled in and leave them alone to nap while I'd find something to do for a couple of hours. At least you're picking a good time of year for it so you shouldn't have to worry about getting too hot or anything. :thumbsup2

I love the way you revealed the trip to the boys. :thumbsup2

Good luck with the extended family. All I've got to say about that is that it is difficult to tour the parks with a huge group anyway, so if they don't want to be RD commando park goers, tell them they can meet you at the park when they get up and are ready. You'll get more done without them anyway.

I think your plans to do Flame Tree and either WPE or EoS at DTD are great. Whatever you do, you'll be getting 2 QS meals that are pretty much on par with a TS meal as far as quality and quantity goes anyway.

Your DH's best option to watch the Super Bowl is probably going to be in the room. If this will be too much of a distraction for others trying to go to sleep before it is over, I'd say to check and see if there are TVs available around the pool bar there or at POP. I mean, anyplace that would be a good place to watch the game will be packed. He'd need to be in line at ESPN Club when they open and sit there all day if he wanted to go there to watch it. If he wanted to, he could really go to any other resort lounge as well if he wanted to maybe sit inside somewhere or check out another resort while he's at it.

Thanks for all the GREAT advice. :thumbsup2 My husband will be happy to watch the game anywhere and it is a good things the suite has two rooms. It is good to know about the CS service options I am thinking about. I really have no plan for CS so I need to know what is good. Think good thoughts for me for my in laws, I just hope we can get along for three days. Any other nuggets of wisdom of great appreciated :)

Our Countdown is at 8 days :cool1: SO I thought I should post the rest of our plans

Monday, February 3- We plan to spend this day as our semi-break day. We were planning on going to IOA and letting the boys rest for the first half of the day but that all changed with the pregnancy. So, instead I built and extra long break into the day, hopefully for swimming. We will go to Epcot in the morning for a few hours. We will hit Soarin' and some other big rides without fastpass. Then we'll take our nice long leisurely break. After the break we are going to do the fastpass rides like TT and Mission Space (obviously not me or the boys). Then we will hit the WS for a CS dinner and exploring the different pavilions until its time for Illuminations.

Tuesday, February 4- This is DH's birthday so it should be a fun day. We'll hit RD for TSMM, RNR, & ST. We also will hit Indiana Jones and Disney Junior and then FPP TOT. We have and ADR at Hollywood & Vine. I am most excited for this since it will have DSs favorite characters. My older son asked if he could dress up like Jake, he has the costume from Halloween. Is this something that is typical. I know little girls dress up all the time but will my son stand out if he is dressed up? After lunch we will rest for a little while.

After our break we will do LMA and then dinner at MM. This will be my DH's birthday dinner. What are some opinions on the cake you can order. We will be using dining plan and already be getting dessert but I am wondering if I should order a cake as well. After dinner we have a FPP for TSMM. We are going to Fantasmic! after that. Does anyone know if we will be ok to show up 30 minutes before F! and still get a seat on a CL 1 day? I really hope we can, our seats don't have to be great just as long as we can get a seat.

Well that's all for now. I will write up our last two days soon.

We leave tomorrow and will be in DWD in 2 days :cheer2: I can't believe that the trip that I have been planning for a year is actually here, its surreal. Okay on to the last two days of the plans.

Wednesday, February 5- This is our last full day in DWD and we plan to spend the day in MK. We will finish up and rides we haven't yet done in the lands other than Fantasyland. I did luck out an was able to get a FP+ for Be Our Guest. This was the only day I could do it but I am so excited to try it. We will of course do our midday break. When we head back we will have some time to re-ride any favorites. I was also lucky to get a Be Our Guest Dinner ADR for this day. I would have preferred not to do the same restaurant for lunch and dinner but I really want lunch and my mom really wanted dinner. Luckily, the menus are different so it won't be exactly the same and unfortunately this was the only day I could get them. I am also super excited because I got an ADR for the TTDP. Nobody but me knows about this so I will surprise everyone with it.

Thursday, February 6-This is our last day and even though our trip hasn't started I am already sad thinking about this :sad1:. Because we have a long flight home and then a drive after the flight we had to leave early. We have a ADR at Chef Mickey's at 7:30. I thought this would be a nice way to say goodbye by seeing Mickey Mouse last. After breakfast, we will leave.

I hope you all enjoyed my first attempt at a PTR and that you will follow along on my first TR when we get back.
