Cars Opening.....Specific Date ?

I know that Cars is scheduled to open Summer 2012.
Has anyone heard a specific date? (I don't want to book anything unless I know for sure it will be opened)

Last Sunday I was at the D23 Expo and spoke to Kevin Rafferty, a senior imagineer working on Cars Land. I asked him if there was any updated information on the opening of Cars Land and he just said summer 2012.

I asked him if he could talk about what the critical path items were and he mentioned the rock work that makes up Cars Land and said it was ahead of schedule.

I would choose to go as late in the summer as possible. For me that looks like late July.

Hydroguy is the man to go to here. I'd push a visit into August if I could. There are so many things that can go wrong with a single attraction, let alone a whole new land. It would seriously stink to get there a few weeks too early. So I too would say no earlier than the end of July.

The last rumors suggested very end of June/4th of July weekend for opening.

Bummer... We're going to stay at VGC the beginning of June. I was hoping that Carsland would at least have some soft openings. Unfortunately, everyone's schedule requires the dates we have and we couldn't move them if we wanted.
