Was talking with the wife earlier and we thought about renewing our vows on our next trip. Both of us being big Cars fans we were thinking of having a ceremony in Cars Land. Can we do this? Thanks

Disneyland In Park weddings START at $25K...and that is just for a small group, quick vows and a few characters...nothing fancy.

Yikes! That's quite a bit of coin there; maybe if our lottery ticket wins . Thanks for the help; brought us back down to earth (in a good way).

Does Disney perhaps offer installment payment plans? Kind of like AP payment plans.
If they don't, perhaps they should. Or might it be a little too much of a risk? As in, it takes one year to pay the wedding off, maybe longer. But, the couple is getting a divorce before that time. Hm......

Why not do a nice, mini ceremony while riding about RSR? I don't see any good reason why that could not work. Plenty of room for the happy couple, the person officiating the ceremony, and a small wedding party. Not joking either. This can work. :)

Gisele, you just hit on an excellent idea :thanks:! It would be cool to take the vows then be off to the races. I'll check with Disney travel and see if we can do that. Thanks again!

You can just do it on your own quietly and without a lot of fanfare on your own if you bring in your own officiant.

Our wedding with 15 guests lasting approx one hour in the park amounted to $27,000...so be aware that Disney may frown upon you having a "wedding" of any kind if you're not paying. (it included reception at the DLH)

Best of luck to you though! :lovestruc

If you do it officially and through Disney this will either not happen or be extremely expensive. My guess is Giselle was suggesting you just sort of do it. Just a guess....

Exactly. It would need to be as inconspicuous as possible, within reason.

O.k. then, guess I'll just forget the whole thing...we have other ideas in the works.

Why forget the idea? It would be a really simple thing to do. It would just need to be on a small scale, and nothing ostentatious.

My dh's coworker got married on pirates, but it wasn't the guy in the article, so it's definitely been done!

I love this!! What a great idea. It makes me want to get married again, except to someone that loves Disneyland like I do! LOL!

People get married in Disneyland parks without having big weddings. You just have to keep it small and be really sneaky. If you are caught they will ask you to stop. You can have your own photographer though. My husband and I took our engagement photos in Disneyland and had a pro photographer. Cast members pretty much left us alone. As long as you don't look like you are getting married and you don't disturb daily operations it can be done.

I Hope we didn't all sound like Debbie Downer's and ruin your excitement. I think you can do something wonderful within the "rules".

How about asking for one of the private rooms at Carthay Circle for a celebration lunch or dinner? We did the Buena Vista private room for just the two of us and it was so romantic and special.
