Cars Land updates

Now I remember why I don't do opening days for ANYTHING!!:rotfl2::lmao: Crossing my fingers that the wait times are better next month!! PHew..gonna be a test of patience as predicted!

5 hours is crazy. Anyone remember what the wait was for Star Tours when it reopened? I don't but we didn't ride it without a FP and we were there a few days after it opened. I do remember that line going out into the hub and being routed around the partners statue in the middle.

I waited standby on the first day Star Tours re-opened at probably 4 PM, and I don't think the wait was longer than 2 hours. Maybe even an hour and a half.

The advent of the "Carsland Era" is definitely going to change the way we do Disneyland. We are headed there at Thanksgiving, so I know it will be crazy busy... hopefully some of the summer blitz will have slowed thing down to a less frantic pace. But for the first time in all the years we have done Disney (I can't believe I am about to say this...) we will be looking at doing more days in DCA than Disneyland! We have a 3-day PH, but may upgrade it to a 4th day. We left Thanksgiving day completely open so we could feasibly spend some time in the park then. But I know I will have to spend at least 2 days in DCA of the 3-day PH, and maybe even 3 if we add on the 4th day.. Who would've believed we would ever say there are more things at DCA I want to see than DL :cool2:

Of course, keep in mind, this will be our 1st trip back to DL in several years, so we have yet to experience WoC, TSMM at DCA, Little Mermaid, or any of the other upgrades, so there is a TON at DCA for us to enjoy... only new things at DL for us will be Matterhorn, Star Tours...

Can't Wait to get there!!!:yay::dance3:

this makes me soooooo happy that we aren't visiting for a year and a half. Hopefully the waits and ridiculous crowds resume normal ridiculous levels. :goodvibes

Ahhh, I remember waiting 2 1/2 hours for Indiana Jones the first summer it opened. I'm too old for that now. :) We'll see how things look in late September, maybe take a weekday off.

I bet a lot of the people waiting for RSR would kill for a 2.5 hour wait right now!:rotfl2:

Our next trip isn't for two years (was just there 2 months back). I'm very sad about having to wait that long, but at least I know I won't be waiting 3 hours to go on rsr haha.

Oooh, I didn't realize there was a single rider line! We'll use that if we need to - I can't wait 5 hours when we are only going to be down for a day and a half in the parks! Is the rest of the area such a long wait as well?

Yup. The ride vehicles are based on Test Track (RIP) and sit 3 across. The SRL is the way to go. :thumbsup2

We are East Coasters and arriving at DL the second week in July. Going to have to do the Carsland attractions so we will have to plan accordingly. Staying on site for three days and have multi-day passes so will take advantage of those. We also will be there during the week.

Will be in the parks 4 days which I thought would be enough but now not so sure. In addition we need to do non WDW rides including Toad and the subs. Last time she road Toad she might have been 3.

Time to suck it up and form an attack plan.

I know I am aging myself here, but when I was 11, me and my 8 year old little brother spend about 4 hours in line for the wonderful new ride at DisneyLand called "Space Mountain".

Mr Snappy, tell me what the dinosaurs were like :lmao::lmao::lmao: (Kidding!)

I waited about 3 hours when Indiana Jones came out and that didn't seem so bad but time seems shorter when you're young I guess. I think I could still do 3 hours now, but beyond that I'm not sure, I might need adult beverages to help.

I'm in the camp that thinks things will settle down after a short bit, but it's all conjecture at this point and only time will tell ... I think we can all agree that we're hoping for the same thing though :thumbsup2

I will never forget getting in line for Indy next to the Village Haus.

My Mousewait app on my iPhone is showing a wait time of 135 minutes for RSR and 75 minutes for Single Rider. Also 40 minutes for MJJ. Of course, I'm not there to check it out, but I'm sure the app is not too reliable!!

And remember, they probably already stood in line half the night to get in!

But really, their goal is not to experience the whole park today, it's really to be able to say they rode the ride on opening day. It's one of those crazy things people do for fun, like climbing a mountain or bungee jumping.

Those don't sound fun either. The D23 event Sunday was Totally worth it.

MouseWait has a max input of 135 minutes. I don't know what the true time is right now, but even when it reached 6 hours and past Ariel's Grotto, MouseWait still said 135 min. The single rider wait time may be accurate.
