Here is a question...

We always go to the first WOC show, but my son is finally older (10) so we can consider the later show. I understand the later show is much less crowded.

Has anyone been to Cars Land during the early WOC show?
Are all the attractions open?
What is the wait time for Radiator Races like during this time?

Regarding the second WOC show...
We were planning to do the dinner package (6:10 reservation for the 1st show).
Can we request the 2nd show instead? How does this work?
Do we need a reserved viewing area for the 2nd show?
Should we save our money and eat dinner else where?

I appreciate your help. We are meeting friends and this is there first Disney experience. We are hoping to show them a good time.

Thanks so much!

When are your dates and will there be a second show? Most nights there is now only a single WOC show.

Really, the show has very little impact on anything other than the Paradise Pier attractions that close down. WOC has been around long enough, that most people don't see it every night or on every trip. I only see it about twice per year now, and even then last year I only saw it at after hours special events on those 2 nights. I have yet to watch it in 2014. So from my perspective, I wouldn't care about how the timing of the show relates to the wait time for RSR, I'd just get in the line if I was willing to wait 40 minutes, an hour, or whatever the current length happens to be.

I echo SMD's question about when you are going. That will have a big impact on crowds and whether or not the second show is crowded.

I agree that WoC doesn't really have an impact on Carsland or the wait times at the attractions. At least I haven't noticed any decrease in wait times the coincided with the start of WoC.

In terms of the dining package, it's my understanding that reservations before 7:00 pm get passes for the first show. I don't know if you can request passes for the second show, but you can always ask. The worse they can say is "no."

In terms of whether the second show will be crowded or not, entirely depends on when you're going. They generally only have a second show during busier times of the year, so I'm going to guess you're going during a holiday period or the summer. So in that case, yes, I think the second show will still be crowded.

Now, whether the package is worth it or not, is a much harder decision. For me, given how the viewing area is configured, I probably would not opt for the dining package. You still have to get there early if you want a prime/rail spot, so in that way, I'm not sure there is a huge advantage to the dining package. If you're super tall, you'll be okay if there are guests in front of you, but if you're normal or short, then you'll have trouble seeing the lower half of the show (anything on the water).

We will be there on Saturday, December 13
There is a 9 PM and 10:15 show

Sounds like we will stick with the early show since 10:15 is pretty
late for us.

How are wait time for RSR after 9:30 at night (park is open until 11 PM)? Does it slow down? We won't be there early enough to get a FP that day. We arrive around 2 PM.

Thanks so much for your help!
