Cars Land Contest

We just got out of Cars Land presentation at the D23 Expo and John Lasseter has made an announcement at the end of the presentation. There is a contest to find a picture of John Lasseter in his Jungle cruise outfit when he was an operator on the Jungle Cruise from 1977 to 1978. If the someone finds a picture of John Lasseter in his JC outfit, he or she will be at Grand opening of Cars Land next summer and a private tour with him on the JC.

I was in the Cars Land presentation with Bret. To add to his post the photos being looked for would be family photos of JC in 1977-78 that John happened to be in.

Hmm, that was when my DU was a CM. May have to give him a call, perhaps he had a camera then.

I was there during that time frame, and just looked at our slides (haha) of that trip at my parents house not too long ago. I don't think we had any of the Jungle Cruise though. Wow, would that be a sweet prize to win!!!

The D23 Expo was fun and it was great to meet all the DISers that I met this week. Yes, that was me at the DIS meeting on Thursday night. It was a pleasure to meet you Linda and your daughter. I was going to say hi to u when we were in the arena queue for the WD Studios presentation yesterday. You were about a hundred people in front of me that morning.

Anyone with 30 year old pictures of the Jungle cruise?

My mother and father are looking through their cartons in their garages this weekend for old family photos of our visits to DL.

My friend is going to his parents' house to look.

Don't we all wish we could have several 10,000s of people searching for a picture from our past? Someone out there will have it. Especially given that it's Jungle Cruise. People love to take pictures of the skippers.
