Carrying wine onboard questions?

Do you ask your stateroom host for fresh glasses everyday at the beginning of your cruise?
I'm getting ready for our next cruise and it would be the first time that we bring wine onboard. So I'm trying to figure out all the logistics.

We call room service from our room and ask them for wine glasses. Since it was just my wife and I drinking we wound ask for 4 or 6 glasses at a time and just store them in our stateroom until done and then order more when needed. We avoided ordering them daily out of consideration for their time. We also tip the person delivering glasses to us even though they are free to use.

It was back on the first Alaskan cruise as well

Was that the Hawaii to Vancouver cruise? We were on the Wonder Vancouver to Hawaii cruise, and if there was a Captain’s reception, we missed it.

Just got off fantasy 9 nights and it was on there as well. Not advertised but they had free wine and booze during formal night in the lobby atrium.
