Carrying resort refillable mug

going in sept. for first time and I know to keep hydrated. Asking if others brought their resort mug to the parks. I can get the ice water at qs restaurant and pour into it and have the ice to cool water from water fountains ..also have it for coffee in morning and a drink when we get back to resort

I don't like to bring the resort mug because it doesn't seal, so i can't throw it in my bag when I'm not using it if there's still something in it. We carry filter bottles for the park and ask for water from QS to fill them.

Thanks Irishnyc. I totally forgot they kind of snap shut....was going to use a carabiner (?) thing to attach to belt loop or something but,I think I will go with a screw top bottle

I haven't carried our refillable mugs around the park since we stopped using a stroller. Now we fill up in the morning and have a drink in the car ride to the park, leave the mug in the car and then we have it with us to refill it as soon as we return to the resort.

We don't. We bring a fresh bottle of cold water each day, and replace as necessary. Having a bottle with a cap just seems so much easier than the refillable mug.

Caribiner them to a backpack, works all the time they are empty. Carry them if full. Always good to be able to pop to food court to get drink on return to hotel.

We used to bring bottles to refill, now we bring our refillable mug but only because we have a stroller. If we didn't have a stroller we wouldn't be bringing the mug (or a lot of other things for that matter!).

In that case, I probably wouldn't bother carrying them (unless you have a stroller) and I would go for either a non-leak refillable water bottle or a throwaway water bottle with a cap, that's what we use while we are in the park.

We don't carry anything for water. When we get thirsty, we get water from a CS restaurant. It takes less than 30 seconds and we don't have to carry anything extra.

I was thinking that too but,assumed it would be a 5-10 minute wait each time. Wow

no. You just go up to the counter where they serve the food (not where you order) and ask for it. They usually already have cups of water made up.

We prefer to carry water in a plastic bottle as well.

I'm no fan of the refillable mugs. One problem I have is the structure of the lid always seems to trap coffee flavor, no matter how carefully we try to wash it. Plus there's the problem of washing the mugs. Carry soap? Bathroom sink? Water fountain?

Do what works for you, but we find it best to carry water.

Last time I went it was Ds (5) and I, and we took both cups with me to the parks. Only because I used them for breakfast at the food court, then headed to the parks. I would dump any remaining liquid and dry them off before clipping it to my bag and putting my son's in his backpack. While at the parks I would only use them if I was going to share a drink with my son, like a Powerade or a large lemonade. I do bring in crystal light packets but those I usually made in the ice water cup I was given. Carrying it around wasn't a big hassle for us and on the end of the day we would fill up before heading to our room. The trip before this one Ds was 3 so our cups just went in the stroller basket.

We bring the mug and use it all day fir water. We then get soda and tea on our way through the resort cafe.

We take the mugs to the food court at breakfast time and then leave them in the car. Grab them at end of day and fill up (usually with iced tea) before heading back to room. For our next trip we will stop at a store and get water bottles and bring one each day to the park... refilling as we need to. And then we make sure they are recycled!!

We use the metal water bottles. They are amazing just put ice and it keeps the water cold for a very long time. We buy them from the Disney store to add to our theme at the parks !

We bring them. We carabiner then to our bag when empty or carry them if they're full. We also rinse them during a restroom break. Having them comes in handy if we wind up at a resort food court during the day.

I brought one to the parks . .mainly to just finish my drink while waiting for bus and then just attached it to stroller handle or backpack or belt (via carabiner).

It's not the best since it doesn't seal, but for just filling up with ice or water throughout the day it was worth carrying around.
