I want to start trading on our next vacation. However, I don't want to wear a lanyard (I already have a camera around my neck and don't want to add to that).

I know some CM's have little square "things" that their pins are on (I have no idea what the name of those things are). Can you purchase those anywhere??

Thanks!

My DD has a hat that she puts her pins on to trade. It's just a thinner bucket type hat.

Also I believe I saw the square things for sale at the Pin Traders store at DTD.

Dd uses 2 different Pin bags One is small (5 X7 with 4 flaps) the other is about (12X12 with 4 flaps).

They also have Waistpacks as well to use. If your crafty you could take 2 peices of heavy felt and sew a small corkboard in between them with a clip like the CMs use.

When I don't wear my lanyard (and I don't wear it that much) I have poket pins to trade and a few on my hat.

DH uses the camera strap and pockets pins that are keepers or when there is no space left on the strap.

THis sounds intriguing...could you describe what you mean a little more for this visually challenged pin trader? LOL

Sure same thing as the CMs use only you can make it yourself.

Take a peice about 5 inches square corkboard (very thin type) . Cut some colored felt (thick) to just cover the corkboard . And sew around the edges.

To carry it You could do a large Grommet in one of the corners . Or take and sew in a Web (belt/hiking)material and do a grommit in that. I would then use a calibine (sp) clip so you could attach it to anything you wanted.

The good thing about the corkboard is it's self healing to an extent and if a back comes off the pin will stay on better then with just the felt. Cardboard would work as well but the holes would get to the point where it would fall apart inside.
