Carrying my Tervis

Don't know how "new" it is. On our last cruise, we were asked at Guest Services what we'd like delivered. As that's the Platinum gift.

The bag is the Silver gift
The tumbler (currently) is the Gold gift
And the delivery (of whatever) is the Platinum gift.

Argh, so we don't even get what silver and gold get, just the food choice? I thought we'd get everything and some. You can tell this is my first time sailing platinum.

No, each level gets the previous level gift PLUS their level gift. Our last cruise we got a backpack, a tumbler, and the delivery selection (we chose the fruit bowl).

Ahhh, got it. Thanks PrincessShmoo for your patience. Question: Is it fresh cut up fruit or just like apples, bananas, etc.?

When I was on the Dream in July there was in fact a sign that said please do not use personal cups. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the sign and was surprised to see it and figured it was new.

and i bet right after you read it some beastly mouth breather came up with its drooly sippy cup and put it right on the nozzle. People are animals and I just made myself sick. You see it every time and I try not to think about what happened at that drink station all day...

Or the ones I've witnessed who put their face under it and just open the tap! On the Carnival cruise one time, we witnessed a kid come into the buffet from the pool area and proceed to wash his hands at the drink station with the water tap! Cause the bathroom around the corner was just too far away!

Are there napkins beside the drink machine? I'm thinking about wiping it off before refilling, now.

The Platinum gift delivered to the room has been around quite awhile. And yes, it is in addition to the tote and insulated cups (currently).

I always order the sparkling wine as I can get fruit whenever I want onboard and the truffles I ordered last time were not that good.

Well, we got the fruit, cause we don't drink wine, and truffles aren't my favorite "sweet".

We'll be platinum next time, can't wait!! I'd probably get the sparkling wine but the 1/2 a coconut on the fruit plate is pretty unique!

Aha! Thanks!

Even though apparently I was talking about the wrong thing, I'm glad I was able to help. Since you can put it on from above, be *careful* with the tumbler just in case the weight of the liquid might cause it to slip out.

Thanks yah- it's pretty snug - as in, must use two hand and hold it between your legs to pull it off type snug :)

It turns out that particular fruit bowl is the Nature's Delights (item 1179) available on the Gifts & Amenities site.

I think my husband would like the sparkling wine. I am not a fan of truffles. The fruit display is attractive though and might be given consideration. Guess we'll see what mood we're in when we board (or do you have to order it ahead?)

They asked us when we went to Guest Services, but I think, if we hadn't been there, the room host may have asked.

I did not read all 8 pages, but I hope someone said the Tervis water bottle was the best for the cruise. I always bring mine. It's so convenient to fill with ice and water before boarding a plane so I have it with me anyway.
