DD4 will be taking meds while we are visiting in August. It comes in a glass bottle but doesn't need to be refrigerated. Any suggestions on how to carry it with us? My main concern is the bottle accidentally breaking inside our backpack. Should I just put it in a small, soft-sided cooler? Any better ideas? Thanks so much!

Bubble wrap? Or just wrap it in a hand towel? You could also probably drop it off at the first aid station at the park you are visiting for them to store. The only problem then is that you'd have to schlep back there to get it every time she needs it.

The small cooler probably is a good idea - even if it doesn't need to stay cold, the cooler will keep it from getting hot-hot.

I assume you mean carry it into the parks right? Here is what I have done. You can buy the medication syringes that have the capped lids on them. They are intended to give liquid meds to young children. You can draw out the correct amount in the room in the am cap and place inside a snack size zip lock bag and carry in your back pack. If you want, you can have the pharmacy print you out an extra label to carry along but we have never had an issue. So easy to just squirt into her mouth when you need it.

Yes, into the parks. That is an idea. I might have to look for a new syringe. The one that the pharmacy gives us would leak too much. Does anyone know if they make one with a cap or anything? Going to do a little online shopping.:scratchin

Just ordered this. Thanks for the idea!

The little caps goes into the end of the syringe. It caps pretty tight. I got some at Wal-marts for just a couple dollars. In the baby section I think.
