Hi,
I was looking at the Orlando airport site yesterday, and under security tips the site mentioned that liquids should not be brought through security. We always like to bring bottled water and mouthwash.
Have any of you gone through security recently with water or mouthwash in your bags?
Thanks for your input.
Sandy

Nope, because the bags I would pack that stuff in are checked at curbside. I only carry on a small bag with stuff I would need for the flight. IE: ticket, ID, and a book to read.

We went through security at Orlando Airport last week and I had a few juice boxes in my carry-on and no one said a word about.

Went through security last week at MCO. I was one choosen to search which I had no problem with. They went through my bags and opened all my zipper bags, made me turn on and off my cell phone, take off my shoes, and I had a bottle of water and I had to drink that before I got on the plane.

If you are carrying a beverage out in the open security will make you drink from it but they usually won't take it from you. If you have beverages or other liquids in your carry-on and you are stopped and the liquids are not sealed they will check them out. (This of course adds time to the security check line which is one reason they discourage people from doing it)

I took my water bottle with me empty and once past the security check points I filled it for the wait before the flight...no problems.

If you are carrying things that have never been opened (safety seal intact) I don't believe you should have problems.

Happy flying!

I brought a bottle of wine through security about a month ago. Usually they ask if the bottle is open but they didn't even do that this time.

I carry my mouthwash in my checked bag. I just double bag all of the wet items in zip lock bags. I've been lucky so far! I use to bring bottle water also, but now I just buy it at Publix when I get there. It's really cheap at Publix, about .50 a bottle. I can carry much on, because I carry on ALL of my pins for trading and need every space possible.

DH packed bottled water in his checked luggage in January. No problems at all.
