Carrying a bag on rides

The last and only time I went to Disney I carried a very small little Vera Bradley crossbody bag and had no issues with it on rides since it was small. This time when we go we are staying longer so I was going to buy a Vera Bradley double zip backpack (not like a school bp, more like a purse). Does anyone have experience with this on rides? I really don't wanna get a locker, and thought about carrying something smaller but I really think the bag is gonna suite our needs better. My best friend used this exact bag at AK and had no issues but they also didn't ride Expedition Everest where it could be a problem..

I had a fairly sizeable totebag with me all over all four parks and never had the slightest problem fitting it on any ride. Sometimes under my legs, sometimes next to me, but there was always room for it, including four go-arounds on Expedition Everest.

Carried this exact style of VB last year in the parks - had no problem whatsoever. Took it on every ride - just made sure it was secure either between my legs or under my seat. It's an extremely manageable sized bag.

Disney doesn't yet have any rules like other places, universal, etc. So as long as you can hold onto the bag, you can bring it on. A friend of mine actually lost a backpack on space mountain once. They did get it at lost and found at the end of the day.

All WDW attractions are bag-friendly, even RnRC. It is a bit of a tight squeeze on 7DMT however--I recommend placing your bag at your feet first before sitting and pulling the lap bar.

I have used a regular sized back pack on every ride and had no issues. On coasters I put it in the floor and put one foot through a strap.

I was going to post the same thing. When I take a bag with me into the parks, I always put a foot through one of the straps and have never had any kind of problem. I did this on Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Everest, Tower of Terror, and Rock n Roller Coaster. On Splash Mountain, I usually have the bag up in the seat with me, though, because I want to know just how wet it is getting.

I have always taken a drawstring nylong backpack in the parks with me and have never had a problem taking it on any rides! Just another reason I love Disney so much...always so accomodating :)

Yes - this is exactly what I do as well. Works like a charm.

Perfect, thank you!

I was worried about it being too "bulky" but I may do like others said and just put my leg through the strap on the floor. I was buying the bag mostly for the trip and didn't wanna waste money if I was going to be afraid to carry it :)

I took my big bag everywhere. On the rides like Rockin Roller Coaster and Everest. I just set it on the floor and wrapped the handle around my wrist. On some rides they have a pocket to put bags or purses in but mine was always to big :confused3. I never had a problem with it though and we rode all the wide rides except Tower of Terror.

I had been wondering about this exact question! We will be in WDW in less than 2 weeks and my kids are old enough that I dont need to carry stuff for them, but I still need stuff for me (my inhaler and phone most importantly).

DH and I just went to HersheyPark yesterday. I had a small cross body bag and took it on rides or put it in the bag drop when I had to (but was always worried about someone else picking it up!) So I am so happy to be able to take a bag on WDW rides with me!
