I just got off the phone with JetBlue. They said that as of today, you are only allowed one carryon (like one of those 22 inch rolling suitcases) and one personal item -- tote bag, pocket book or briefcase. A backpack is no longer considered a personal item. So, now it's off to buy a tote bag.
Also, for you paperless ticket holders. Check to see if you have to have a boarding pass before you go through security (which means you'd have to check in at the main ticket counter). The JetBlue rep told me I could show security my print out and then get a boarding pass at the gate, but she said that the rules change everyday. I am getting to the airport over 2 hours in advance just to make sure (I'd rather wait in the boarding area than miss my flight).
(Side note: I will be flying a A320 airbus out of JFK next week. I swear, if I didn't promise my parents I'd visit for Thanksgiving, and then going on to WDW, I'd cancel the trip. Thank goodness they serve liquor on the flight (I asked!))
