I'm curious but has anyone ever packed carry on only for their trip to WDW?

When I do go, this is probably the way I'll pack...and if anything have my bf check in 1 bag. I always always always over pack and I don't want to risk losing our luggage also. I just want things to be simplified and a little bit easier so this will be my challenge for myself.

I only took a carry-on this fall to WDW. It was a full bag and not much room if any for bringing anything home.

I've never done it, but it would really depend on the length of your trip and/or your willingness to do laundry. If you go to the world during a hot time, you really can't re wear your clothes.

This is my goal for our upcoming trip. I might still end up with one checked bag, because my kids will be using their gift cards for souvenirs that may need the extra space.

Yes absolutely! We mostly only pack with Carryon's. We each have 1 wheeled carryon suitcase, and 1 backpack. It makes things so much easier for us personally! We also do laundry midweek at the resort.

I just don't want to over pack. My bf and I can each bring extra clothes in our carry ons just in case and have the one suitcase checked. I don't typically buy a lot of merchandise which is crazy. My eyes are always bigger until I get to the parks. We would most likely be going for 8-10 days and we're totally fine with doing laundry at some point.

You can pack a LOT more than you think inside of a carryon and a backpack! Just be sure to wear your biggest items on the plane: Sneakers, Sweater, Jacket, etc.... Easy Peasy!

lol I've seen some things on pinterest and that peaked my attention. It's almost like a personal challenge plus I'll feel better knowing I have all of my stuff with me.

We only pack carry on for every trip. Spent 3 weeks in Europe this summer and everyone had 1 carry on suitcase and a backpack. You just have to re-wear things and bring only a couple pairs of shoes. Also, roll your clothes or use packing cubes for more space. There are lots of you tube videos on how to pack to get the best use of limited space.

Ugh I feel like such a nerd with all of this lol just the thought of packing is exciting. Then again I just love planning so...

For example, this is what I brought for our last 8 day trip in September in my carryon:
4 pairs of shorts
8 Disney tops
4 dressy tops
3 sun dresses
2 bathing suits
1 lightweight cardigan
1 hoodie
2 pairs of PJs
2 pairs of flip flops
1 pair of wedge sandles
6 prs of Underwear
2 pairs of running shorts
2 running tanks
Makeup / Qtips / Hairbrush / Flat iron
Quart size bag with travel lotion, perfume, makeup remover, and other liquids
Small park bag to carry inside of the park

On the plane I wore my running shoes, a thicker hoodie, shorts and a tshirt.

Disney provides the shampoo and conditioner in your room each day so you don't need to worry about that!

In my carry on BAG / backpack I carried my cell phone charger, book, Kindel, snacks, wallet, portable charger, and a few other things that I can't remember.

We also ordered breakfast items from Garden Grocer which included bananas, apples, sunscreen, granola bars, muffins, etc.

I did buy several coffee mugs, teeshirts, hoodie, etc at Disney Springs and other gift shops around WDW which I shoved into my 2 bags! It worked perfectly!

We usually stay at WDW Saturday to Saturday, and take Tuesday or Wednesday to do laundry so that we can have clean shorts to wear haha!

I only pack a carry on size bag for all my trips there. I still end up checking the bag but I tend not to need more than that. Also since we generally have a washer and dryer in the room I don't see the need to over pack.

I would but DH can't so we check for bigger trips. We rent a car so we add shampoo, sunscreen and that sort of stuff to our grocery list. it's kind of annoying dragging bags through the airport but it's nice to walk right out of the airport.

I have done carry on only when its a short trip.
I can easily pack everything I need into a carry on sized bag or suitcase even for a semi longer trip but the 311 rule is what always gets me.
I don't wear makeup or anything so its really just my essential toiletries that are liquid that make it difficult. At least when I go on a short trip I know that a sample size of many things are enough.
If you are an over packer it may be very useful for you to do carry on only and not check any bag.
This way you really do only bring what you need. Plan out your outfits and take one extra. wear a pair of shoes and bring a pair of shoes instead of several... and bring an empty tote bag to the return home in case you purchase souvenirs that won't easily fit in your carry on.

Yeah the only reason we would need to check a bag is bc my bf HAS to have a fan on the side of the bed to sleep. Not just the noise but he's a little ocd about traveling without one.

I will say the greater issue for us is the liquids restrictions not clothes. But if your packing a checked bag I'm guessing if you're going for a week or less you'd be able to fit stuff in a carry on each

Yeah the liquids and makeup part might be a challenge but it's something I've wanted to do regarding a trip...weird kind of goal lol.

I almost always travel carry-on only. Especially in warm weather, it's no problem. I can pack 9 or 10 days of summer clothes in carry-on. It's slightly trickier if warmer (bigger) clothes are required. I've done laundry on trips, but only by choice. I can easily pack enough to get away without it.

We're aiming for a january trip if anything. I feel confident that I can get away with the type of clothes I'm comfortable in. I typically wear athletic clothes or leggings, sneakers and obv would pack a ton of disney shirts/tanks. I am one of those that are usually always cold too lol. Only dress I plan on bringing is a maxi with sandals so it seems manageable lol
