I have looked at my airline web site under tsa rules, I'm still confused-
we plan to carry our bags this trip- we have gummy bear type vitamins in pillboxes, and I also have a vit. D oil capsules packed, will this be an issue? should I repack,so these items are in a small case in my qt. size ziploc? are they considered liquids?

It is best if you can carry any medication in the original container so that they can see what it is. You can carry any medication in any amount and it doesn't matter if it is liquid or pill. My son bring a pharmacy with him ( well, not really, but almost) and we never have a problem. We will take the extra meds out of the bottel that we do not need and leave them at home so that in case something happens and we misplace the container we still have meds at hiome. Also try and keep meds separate and tell them at the scanner that you have medications in your bag. You medication also dosen't have to be in the baggie. http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/specialneeds/editorial_1059.shtm I know you said tha you check the TSA website, but I put this link here just in case you did not find the section that helps ( It doen't have alot of info tho)

Could you put that in your luggage for check in? It might make it easier.

If it's needed medication, you do NOT want to check it. You want to keep it with you in your carry on. Now, granted these 2 items being questioned do not 'appear' to be needed, but supplements. In that case they probably could check them, and if the luggage was delayed they wouldnt be in any danger. Now if these items are 'prescribed', you would still want them kept with you in your carry on.

thanks for the link- they're not really 'meds' but vitamins.... and we're carrying bags only -no checking at all-
