Carribean Beach

Okay, I know this question has been asked TONS of times before but we have reservations at the Carribean Beach Resort in October. My question is, (for those that have been recently) are the rooms remodeled/rennovated? I have heard a lot of horror stories lately (mainly about roaches and mold) and I have also been told that they have redone the place to take care of this. Has it? I just wanted to know if there was even the slightest chance that those problems are still there or did they redo EVERY room?

They redid every room at the end of 2002. They reopened around Christmas so it has only been 2 years since the refurb.

We stayed there in 2000 so its been refurbed since I have been. We have friends that went last February and they loved it. They said it was awesome and would definetly stay there again. Hope this helps

I stayed at CBR (Martinique building 23, a perfect spot in my opinion) and could not have been happier! The room was very clean, and looked great. No mold, bugs, dirt or grime to speak of! I would not hesitate to stay there again anytime!

We were there May 2004. We loved our room just not where it was tlocated TRINIDSAD SOUTH!!!!. Alot of walking with 4&5 dd's. Request martiniques.

I was there in October and stayed in Jamiaca and the room looked wonderful! I'm headed back there in two days so I will make sure to report back when I'm home.

Thank you all for the replies. I would have still stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort but it makes me feel better knowing that they have been rennovated recently. Things are falling into place for me so far. I called today to make the vehicle reservation with Enterprise and it seems that I will not only get the SUV I wanted (Grand Cherokee) but that it will be a 2005 model. I know that may not seem like much to get excited about to most people but I have only rented one other car in my life and it turned out to be an old model.

I am just freaked out about this because I know that something will go wrong with the vacation. And this vacation is more for my wife and kids than me. I just hope that it is something small and easily fixable. There are no easy roads in life. I can only hope that I stumble on a pebble instead of getting smashed by a boulder.
