Carribean Beach?

Loved CBR. We were in Jamaica (48, I think). Close to the bridge to the food court (I walked it every morning to pick up breakfast!). And the bus stop is close as well. CBR is the most beautiful resort I've ever stayed in - and very peaceful.

I read a lot about people saying it's too big, but I think that's why it's quiet - everyone is spread out. I also don't mind walking - and my oldest just liked to wander around the trails...

Great choice - have a wonderful vacation!

The DH and I stayed at CBR for a week last September. We LOVED it. It was so quiet and beautiful. It seems as though the only time that we ever saw other guests was when we were walking to or in OPR, in the pool, or at the bus stops.
We had requested a king room and were put in Trinidad North. We loved it. The bus stop was really, really close, and OPR and the main pool were only a 3-4 minute walk.
We would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat. Since I always like to see pics, I would love to share some of mine:

We went to DW for the first time last May 2007 and stayed at the CBR. We went for our wedding anniversary and brought our 4 yr old and 3 yr old. We stayed in Jamaica 45. It was a great location to the bus stop and a short walk to the OPR. The bus servise to the parks is excellent. They run constantly. The resort was very quiet and they play Caribbean music along the walk way's. We are going next month but are staying at the CSR because DH wanted to try a different resort but the CBR main pool is undergoing construction. Otherwise, I would stay there in a minute :) Have fun :thumbsup2

Your pics are beautiful! Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to be lying in one of those hammocks! The Poly is my first choice of resort, but since I will be finishing up grad school a moderate is the most we can afford...at least at the CBR I can have a similar-feeling resort it seems.

Everyone has been so helpful! Thanks guys :thumbsup2

We loved it there. Nice and quiet, great food court, and great pool. The wonderful tropical atmosphere is very relaxing.

We just got back from the CBR two weeks ago and it was AMAZING!!! :cheer2: I would highly recommend it!! I'll try and post pics soon! We stayed in Martinque- the room was great, quick walk to the food court and the bus system wasn't bad at all! Our pool was fabulous too!! Because of the design of the buildings you rarely have anybody walk infront of your room. So you don't have a 'hotel' kind of feel of the place. It was so quiet and private-exactly what we wanted! My husband and I went down one night and layed in the double hamocks together and watched fireworks from the beach. It was all very romantical :lovestruc  The only thing is that if you are far from Port Royale, it wouldn't be the same experience- I think you just wouldn't use the services/ammenities the same if you were in say South Trinidad. I don't know, that's just my opinion. Also, the food was OK- not great or amazing, but it did it's job. We would definetly stay here again! Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

We stayed there last year and it was amazing. We were in Jamaica 42. We never saw another person around our room. It was nice and quiet and the grounds are beautiful. We loved it so much we are staying there next month. We never waited more than 5 minutes for a bus. The walk to OPR is not that long, its really nice to walk there.

We were in Aruba building 55 in December 2007. We had a nice corner room, steps fom the beach. The resort is large and even with an 18 month old and a 4 year old, we didn't find the walk to anywhere that bad. Of course, we really don't mind walking, and my mom and dad were with us. The resort is beautiful, but the buses can be tricky. I wouldn't mind the wait that there sometimes are, and the crowdedness if I didn't have a little one. we did take the bus, and also our car sometimes, and found that the car was easier just because when we ready to go,we could with no wait, and the baby wouldn't bother anyone if she was cranky and tired.

Overall, we had a really nice time, and the resort was great for us.

I stayed in CBR last May... my family LOVED it. the only reason we arent' staying there this may is bacause of the pool being closed. Great resort. We stayed in Martinique building 24 my room 2417 was a corner room great location... i walked out and the quiet pool was right there... it was a 5 min walk to the food area and 2 min walk to the bus stop. not far from anything at all... we are planning on going back in May 2009 and staying at CBR and once pool is finished aswell... GREAT CHOICE you will not regret it...
