Carribean beach resort good?

We booked our 1st trip to Disney and will be staying at the Caribbean beach resort. For it being a moderate hotel I haven't seen many reviews on it. I usually just see reviews about Port Orleans FQ and riverside. Are they better than the CBR?
If we stay at the CBR which area/room should we request? It's 2 adults, 2 kids ages 2,8.

cbr is an awesome resort. although I have never stayed at por, we love cbr so much just cant seem to try out another resort whenever we book a moderate. I have also stayed at the poly, yacht club and okw and I can tell you I love cbr just as much as the deluxe resorts we have stayed at. The pool areas are great plus each village has its own quiet pool and 2 hot tubs as well. Never had any problems with the bus transportation or housekeeping. The hammocks on the beach are sooo relaxing and you can watch Illuminations from the beach as well. the food court is very good and plenty to choose from, I would recomend to request Martinique , close to the main pool and food court, we have stayed in aruba as well and even with it being a little bit of a walk to the main area we didnt mind as its such a beautiful resort to walk around. Kids love the main pool, stormalong bay at yc is the most popular pool but cbr s has got to come in as second on the ratings!Im sure you will love it and will be glad you picked this resort!

Many people are skipping over CBR as it is the only moderate resort that still has double beds. The other 3 moderates have queen sized beds. Also, the size of it can be a bit over-whelming. It is a beautiful resort, but it is large!

If you do stay at CBR I would pay for a preferred room location. That way you know you will be close to the food court, gift shop, and the themed pool.

CBR was the first Disney resort we stayed at and although it was quite some time ago (2002), we remember that stay like it was yesterday. We loved the resort, the grounds, the pool, the food court, and we thought the bus transportation was great. We haven't stayed at any other moderate so I can't compare CBR to any of them, but we wouldn't hesitate to stay at CBR again. The resort is pretty big, like the pp mentioned, but we didn't mind the size. Have a great trip .
