how are the carriage ride at POR? what is the best time for them? what are the chances of getting a carriage as a walk up? lastly is it worth $35 plus tip?

When we did the Carriage Ride at POR, I BELIEVE it was $25+ tip. We made our ressie ahead of time and I remember when we were about to get on, a gentleman asked if he could sign up for the next one, but the driver told him he was booked. We did ours about 8 ish right after dinner at Boatwrights and it was worth it. I liked the idea of going around the entire resort area and getting to see it all at once. Our driver was kind of quiet but that was ok with us. It was relaxing and enjoyable. :wizard:

We had fun and didn't regret the money we spent on it. Ours was actually a spur of the moment thing. I saw the driver waiting for her next fare, and she said they were no shows, so the 4 of us hopped in instead. The kids (10 and 4 at the time) loved it, and so did we. The driver was booked solid for the entire night, so I wouldn't count on getting a spot last minute if it's something you really want to do.

It is $35 (plus you should leave a tip.) We got back the 13th and there were walk ups available while we were there. I THINK if you go while it is still daylight, you have a better chance of walking up.
