Carriage ride at WL during Christmas Time

I was wondering if anyone did the carriage ride at WL during Christmas time? Does it go to Fort Wilderness. I heard it is a sight to see. How much does it cost? There are so many different prices I am confused.

Any help would be appreciated.

At Christmas time they offer Sleigh rides. They actually depart from Fort Wilderness, not the WL, and I believe last year's cost was $60 for a 25 minute ride. You might be getting conflicting info because they also have carriage rides that are about $45. But that's a totally different type of vehicle. You can book in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY

I agree . We did it in December 2003 and it left from the front entrance of the WL, but it looks like it has changed since then and leaves from FW now. I would definitely recommend it. We had a great time.....the driver had blankets in case it was cold as well as hot chocolate .

No but I read that you have to reserve the sleigh ride in advance. The sleigh rides are private rides (only seats small party). I read that it fills up quick so if you want to do it you have to call Disney now to reserve. Also I read that there is also a wagon ride that is cheeper and no reservation required and leaves at 7:15 and 9:00 PM (not sure about the times?) It is first come first serve. I still haven't figured out where to go to get onto the rides. I guess I'll call Disney and ask.

We did a horse and carriage tour at FW a couple of years ago. It was almost like a hay ride. I don't remember paying for it but the staging point was near Pioneer Hall across from the horse stables

You're welcome . I'm sure you'll enjoy the sleigh ride. We've never been to FW during Christmas time, but I hear it's just amazing with all the great decorations people have out . Have a great time .
