Anyone ever travel with carriage? Renting a stroller everyday is going to get pricy so we were thinking about taking carriage with us. Honestly, it's not small so I guess I would have to check it. It's foldable of course but was wondering if anyone has had experience with this?

There are very few airlines that make you check your stroller. American is the only US based one I know of. I have gate checked (bring it to the jetway) a City Elite Double and an UPPA Baby Vista without problems. Check your airline website for their rules.

You can check it at the front desk with your luggage as well for free. I would use a bag whether you gate check or regular check it.

We took an umbrella stroller w our 3 1/2 yo DD and gate checked it on both flights. Depending on how old you child is you may want to look at buying one of those to take.

This isn't quite correct. You can gate check strollers on AA as long as they aren't oversized.

OP, check your airline's website for their stroller policy.
