From what I can tell, COP is "open seasonally." What is the likely hood it will be open the first part of December when I'm there?

Thanks!

I've been going the week before Thanksgiving for the last 4 years and CoP has always been open. I doubt it closes afterwards.

Agree with the PP that CoP will be open when you go.

My last 5 trips have been at different times in October and it is always open. It's a great place to take a break and see a classic Disney attraction!

The past 3 years, I have gone in December and January. It has been running for all of those trips. Should be good to go. :thumbsup2

Just make sure that it isn't going to rain or your lumbago might act up. If it does, a cold sasparilla will fix you right up, though.;)

May it never close.:smickey:
God, I love that show. It really does need to be updated, at least to this decade.

I've never seen it closed. It's open year round

:lmao: Ohh papa.

How old is your info? Five to ten years ago, it was open seasonally but not for the past several years.

Yay! I don't ever want it to close either!!

I read seasonally on All Ears, I believe. I just looked in Unofficial guide & it doesn't mention seasonally like my last (OLD) 2009 edition did.

Thanks for all replies!

I agree that it's been open when I've been there the last few years (October, December, February, March). It did have slightly different operating hours on MNSSHP nights last month when I was there (I don't know if MVMCP has a similar impact on the operating hours in November/December).

I've always seen info that it's open seasonally, so I always dread that it won't be open when I go. I only go at non-peak times, and it's always open. It is a major family tradition for us, and we ALWAYS sing. A lot of times, sadly, we are the only ones on the ride.

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow...

lol -- It's my nephew who works for Disney's favorite attraction. He just loves the retro feel of it.

I agree that it will in all likelihood be open in December when you go.

We love it too-although last year when we went we got stuck in scene 2 and had to sit through it twice!

I Love the Carousel of Progress! It is always open when I go there. Expect during special events.

It wasn't open during MNSSHP last week, but I didn't expect it to be. A handful of attractions, including COP, were closed during the party. I made sure to make it to the Tiki Birds from 4-7pm before it closed, but couldn't get to Tomorrowland in time.

We have gone the first 2 weeks of December for the last 5 years and it is has always been open.

Apparently, 5 PM to 10 AM is a season, and 10 AM to 5 PM is a different season.

Must be. Carousel of Progress is open daily, but only during the shorter season ;).
