I've loved COP since first seeing it at the NY World's Fair in 1964 (one of those memories that just sticks with me since early childhood). So we have to ride COP on every Disney trip.

I was so dismayed when we were at WDW week before last and rode COP. In the very first seen (late 1890's/turn of the century) on the table by the father there was a Dasani water bottle! Now how did that get there?

Anybody else see this?

I rode it last week, and it wasn't there.

What?? That is sort of funny.

Maybe someone was cleaning and set it down and forgot about it?

Somebody must have forgot their water bottle there.

LOL, that's kind of funny.

No, no, no, it was product placement! Coke is sponsoring the CoP now, and you must have missed the audio where he says: "I even here the guy down the road got the idea to take his tap water and put it in bottles - and everyone around is buying it for 10 cents a pop!"

:) :) :)

REALLY????!!!!!

REALLY????!!!!!

:lmao:

Sorry, I could put a thousand smileys in the post, and someone is bound to think its real...

I was making fun of the fact that Dasani is no more than filtered bottled tap water, but people will pay a lot for it.

It had to be a CM either playing a prank or accidentally leaving it there. I don't think a guest can get there and even if you move towards the doors (like people sometimes try to do) -- the ride shuts down.

Or maybe it is product placement - good one! :rotfl2:

Just a dumb water story and off topic - when my sister lived near Ridley Park in PA, there was this "spring" nearby that we would watch people LINE UP and fill gallon jugs with the water. Several years of this -- but finally it must have been tested and it was totally contaminated by the livestock in the nearby fields (they had been there for years too!) and then the piping that had been set up to allow people to fill their jugs more easily had to be capped! Talk about the fact that TAP WATER would have been better! :sad2:

I was there week before last, too. :) No bottle when I was in, though.

First off, Howdy Neighbor! I'm in CT too!

Second, I would be annoyed with something like too if it was my favorite ride. In this case I would have taken a picture because I would have found it amusing but I see your point :)

I do believe you're right. If I'm not mistaken there are sensors that will shut down the attraction if someone goes to close to the stage. They're there for safety so when the theatre is rotating nobody will get caught between the moving seating area and the stationary stage.

Not supposed to take photos with flash or backlights in CoP.
