Carousel Inn VS Tropicana

I am in need of some advise. Our family has found ourselves visiting Disneyland for 2 nights in Aug. We usually stay onsite but being this a spontaneous add on to a soccer tournament onsite is not in our budget. We can stay either at Tropicana or Carousel. I know they are next door to each other with perfect location of the crosswalk. Anything else we should know to sway us one way or another?

We stayed at the Tropicana for 5 nights in May and was very happy with it. Easy walk, clean, friendly staff

I have not stayed at Carousel, but Tropicana was quite nice for the money and the staff was very helpful. I really liked it there.

I personally like the Tropicana! or the Bestwestern inn and suites. BW has breakfast included just an extra benefit imo.
