Hello all! So we're planning our next trip out to Disneyland, for May of 2013 and we're trying to decide on a place to stay. We've narrowed it down to three different choices.

Fairfield Inn
Carousel Inn & Suites
or Best Western Park Place Inn and Mini-Suites

We already stayed at the Fairfield last May, so we know what that's like, but have no clue what the other two are like. We were considering Carousel because it looked really nice...until we read the Tripadvisor reviews, yikes!
Have any of you stayed at either one? How are they? I really appreciate any help, thank you. :)

BBPPI Is our favorite. Very close too. They have really nice comfortable beds and good size fridge plus micro. Large granite counters with sink outside of bathroom for getting ready. Love that place.

We've never tried the Carousel, but were very happy with BWPPI. So close!! That was very convenient compared to the Fairfield. We've stayed there in the past & liked it just fine, but that walk at the end of the day was no fun! It's so nice to just walk across the street & be right there! :) We even had 6 in a mini suite with no problems.

I stayed at the Carousel last August and all was good. I wasn't expecting a 3 star motel but wanted something close to DL and a place to sleep in relative comfort. Got all of the above. Although it seems that the Carousel can be a hit or a miss. I find it odd that a motel can have such contrasting reviews from people who seem to be there at the same time lol. But for me and my brother all was good to go.

I am going to try the BWPPI for the next trip as it is the closest off site to the DL gates and it gets good reviews for the most part. But like I say, I am not expecting a 3 star motel. All I want is a good bed, a shower that works, and close proximity to the DL gates :) Nothing better than walking out your room with the crosswalk right there :)

LT :)

We've stayed at the BWPPI many times and really enjoy it. After safety and cleanliness, location is our #1 priority. The breakfast is fine, and we really like the microwave and fridge. The staff is always nice and we have never had an issue with noise, but I know others have complained about it.

I agree with the PP, BWPPI is a nice place to stay and would stay there again. Nothing fancy but it is clean and comfortable. Since we were there in Feb I have read that they made a few upgrades to the breakfast.

Lastly, location, location, location. After a long day in the park it sure is nice that it is right across the street from DL

We loved the BWPPI last year. You can't beat the location and the price was really good. About $100 / day. Rooms were nice and big.
I always wanted to stay there.... Every time I was at Disney I would stay NEXT time I am staying right across!
This time the rooms are not available for our dates and Park Vue is $179 night. We were able to get Super Saver rate at HoJo so will stay there.
