Which hotel would be a better stay for a single person? Just myself.

Between the two, I'm just looking for a quiet, comfortable room.

Any suggestions or past expiriences with either?

Thanks :hippie:

I stayed at the Carousel last year for a trip and it was fine. The room was comfortable and nice. Plus it's right across the street from the entrance, near the crosswalk.
I haven't stayed at the Marriot, but I'm sure it has more amenities than the Carousel being a full service hotel.

I've got the carousel booked for out Nov trip, based primarily on reviews from other DISers. I've stayed at the Fairfield Inn, and was not impressed (I expect more from a Marriott property). The room seemed quite small, and maid service was poor-out of a 6 day stay, they cleaned the room 3 times/made beds, empty trash, etc. because they'd given housekeeping extra time off as it was Thanksgiving week. I appreciate the fact that they get extra time off, but if that is the case, they should have booked fewer rooms so that the staff working would have time to service the rooms. I know...not a big deal to whine about.

Another note, if I was walking to the hotel alone at park closing time... I would not feel particularly safe as there is a significant distance between them and the next closest hotel.
