We stayed there December 20th through the 23rd. We had never stayed there before, but we decided at Thanksgiving to meet my DMIL, DFIL, DBIL, and DSIL there for a Christmas trip.
I wanted something around $100 a night, and at that late booking, that was pretty much our only option. What I knew from the DIS boards was that it was clean, but in no way fancy.
I would agree that it's clean if by clean you mean no mold or evidence of previous guests. But from our experience, housekeeping was horrible. The first day they came, they took the dirty glasses away, but did not leave new ones, leaving us with just one glass. The next day, when we returned to the room late that night, not only had they still not brought fresh glasses, but the one remaining one with the rest of my morning soda still sat on the counter!
The last day, they did not bring any hand towels, only bath towels and washcloths. The entire time we were there, there was no soap holder for the hand soap, we just had to put in on the counter. Gross.
The worst thing they did though, was open the window shades and leave them open. Therefore, anyone walking by your room could look in and see everything we had in the room. Major security flaw in my opinion. I kept wondering as we walked by rooms why people would leave the shades open, and when we returned to our room after being gone from 8 am to 10:30 pm to find our shades wide open, I was shocked!!
That's just housekeeping. The one other major thing that happened was on our second day, we had no hot water in the shower! To be fair, when I called the front desk, they said they had one room available they could move us to, they just had to check to make sure it was clean. In that time, my DH figured out that the hot water was coming and going, so after about 35 minutes of standing in the shower waiting for the hot water to kick in, I was finished!!
So needless to say, even though the room was only $100, I didn't feel it was worth the money. I won't stay there again and won't recommend it either. Hot water on demand is a must!
