Carousel Inn...Im I making a mistake!?!?

I've never stayed there but am considering it for a trip in October. Here is the reason why: I have a Disney-loving friend who normally stays on-site and regularly stays in suites or villas whenever she travels to DL, DW and DCL!! She stayed at Carousel Inn last Fall and said it was perfectly fine. They were in a kids suite. If my friend says its fine, then I totally believe her based on her excellent taste and previous stays in very fine accommodations.:thumbsup2

Our next trip (coming up Nov 27-Dec 4 2012) we are booked at the BW Park Place Inn as we got an excellent rate and are hoping to get giftcards from Airmiles to pay for it. My sister-in-law and her family stayed there on our Jan 2011 trip and they enjoyed it a lot. I hear they have revamped their breakfast and have more offerings now.

I think if you go with whichever one gives you the best rate out of those hotels close to the crosswalk you'll be happy.

What did you hear? I'm staying at BWPPI in September. I'd love to know what they offer now.

We stayed at a BW in Seattle last year before flying to Orlando and they had an excellent breakfast. Make your own waffles, yogurt, bagels/toast with cream cheese/PB/Jam. At the front desk if you were up early they had muffins and coffee available before the breakfast room opened.

According to the managers comments on Trip Advisor they are supposed to be making upgrades to the breakfast items. In one comment they said they would be adding pancakes, sausage and scrambled eggs but a more recent comment said that they are still testing various items and the changes will be complete by May. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Thanks! I think they had those items at the BW in Seattle also. I don't eat them so I forgot. But now that you mentioned them I kind of recall my niece eating some sausage.

I hope they have the make your own waffle station.

Just don't make the mistake we did.... we were waiting for the big disneyland bus to come along and a white van pulled up and the driver convinced us that we would be waiting another 20 minutes for that bus and it would be much quicker to go with him. Well it was late, like 9 pm, so we showed him the coupon I had for the bus which was a lot less than he was quoting, he said he would match the price and gave me his card with his number on it. we thankfully did not prepay the return portion. He then proceeded to keep circling the pick up area at the airport hoping to get more passengers for a good 15 minutes. so now we were at the same time as if we had waited for the bus. ok we thought, it's still costing the same. until the day of our departure. I called the day before to confirm, was told oh yes no problem. phoned again in the morning, then we went out front of the hotel and waited, and waited.... after 2 calls from both my personal cell and the hotel we were told, oh yes, he's just 5 minutes away..... a taxi finally pulled up and we got it. the ride from Hojo's to the airport in morning traffic cost us with a tip, just under $100 I still have that idiots phone number and think about calling him and sending him on phony pick ups to make up for that. you can indeed get coupons online for the other reliable busses. :) Disneyland Resort Express, that's who we had the coupon for and were waiting for! we got the coupon right off their own site. by the way, I sent you a pm

That would be amazing. It was very limited before. Decent but they really needed more selection. Im excited to see what the pull out of their hat.
