Hello Everyone!
I am going down to DL Jan 2-3 and have a room booked at the Carousal Inn...but I cannot seem to find a lot of info or reviews on it! Has anyone stayed there? If so, how is it??!! popcorn:: Also....if you have been to DL the first week of Jan in the past..I would love to hear your experiences as far as crowds go!!
Thanks :yay:

I've got a full review with some pics in the trip report linked in my signature.

My review was posted here.

MattsPrincess posted a review for a premium room -- Concierge Club King Suite. I'm sure it was very nice. My review is for a regular room. I thought it was an adequate economy-level motel, but nothing special. I'd do it again for the super price I got at the time. But I wouldn't pay a lot of money for it.

HTH,
Bob

Actually, we weren't in the King Suite. It was just a regular two queen room.

I just reserved a room there and got on here to look for reviews. We will be in the parks all day till midnight we need showers and beds. Dont really care about breakfast as long as I get a cup of coffee in the room I am happy! I went for the premium 2 queens at 76.50 a night. AAA rate

Sorry, I missed that. I only skimmed your review. I was going to say that I guess we just had different opinions, but on reading your review, I don't think our opinions were all that different. Your review says:
"Being so close to the parks made up for most of the downsides of this hotel."

I guess I agree to an extent. But there are other motels that are close. My mainstay since then has been HoJo's. While it's a little further away, it's SO much nicer that I'm willing to put up with that.

Anyway, sorry for putting words in your mouth

For that rate, I'd go back. That's a great rate. As I said in my review, I basically ended up getting a 2Q room for $75 + resort fee + tax. And I said I'd go back for that rate, too. But I still think the motel is just adequate; I'd go back for a great rate and for the proximity.

We stayed there in 2006 and had a great stay... The positives are its location (right across the street) and the fact it has a fridge and microwave. The negatives are that parking can be a problem and it had a very small pool, though I see they are working on that...

The rooms were a good size, it was clean and the breakfast was free

If the Hojo changes the Ent rate I will stay there but not at over 100 a night. they seem to offer many less dates than before

Thank you everyone for the reviews! I am starting to think I am glad we are only there for one night haha!! It was cheap enough so I booked and then started looking for reviews!
Excited for the comfy bed though :yay:

We stayed here 2 years ago. The location is great - a quick walk to the park. The rooms were clean and came with a microwave and fridge. The pool was small and cold in February. My daughter loved all the mirrors in the elevator. Breakfast was ok. It is the normal cold breakfast but you can also buy hot sandwiches which were good as well. We had a great experience here.
