Carolyn Allen tux rental

Has anyone rented the tuxes from Carolyn Allen? How are the prices?

I'm not sure about prices. I haven't contacted Carolyn Allen.

When we rented from them last year, the cheapest, most basic tux they had was $120. However, that includes a lot of service: they brought the tuxes to our hotel for a fitting, took them back and altered them, brought them back on the morning of the wedding, and then picked them up after the wedding.

Thanks ladies. Is that a good price compared to other places like Men's Warehouse? I have no clue what is a normal price!

I dunno about MW Tux, but when we priced a similar tux in Los Angeles, the price was closer to $80 or $90 - but that was for a local wedding and didn't include any kind of pick-up/drop-off. If we had rented in LA, we would have had to pay a bunch of fees to keep the tux for our 2-week trip to Orlando, so it all worked out.

MW Tux is cool because you can try one on at your local shop and then work with the Orlando (well, Winter Park) shop to get the same one delivered to your hotel when you're at Disney.

I used Carolyn Allens for tuxes, dress steaming, and dress cleaning. I was very happy with their services. They have excellent customer service and were very accomodating.

sorry to hijack...does Carolyn Allen offer more then 1 pants option? When I looked at Jim's Formalwear (they had the jacket DFi was looking for) I talked to their coustmer service and was told they only rented 1 style of pants. (which isn't the style DFi wants) I'd like to use Carolyn Allen for my dress steaming and it would just be really easy for them to also do the tuxes.

I believe they do, because we had to choose from several different pairs of pants when we picked ours out. Anyone know definitively?

i just ordered the Calvin Klein Radnor tux from them and it was $170 after tax..

I was told they only have one basic pant style unless you want to upgrade or purchase them. We wanted flat front pants for DH, but they only offered with pleats...

I'd call them and ask just to make sure...

I was told by Jim's that they only have the pleats and DFi wants flat fronts with satin stripe. I really don't want to buy them, unless that's what his friends picks for his wedding. Since then he'll get at least 2 wears out of them for sure.
