Is anyone else liking Outkast's Roses?

My kids recorded the video on our PVR, so it's being played over and over and over again...and I like it!

I will admit that I do.

I was off of work for several weeks (over March and most of April) and found myself watching MTV and VH1 alot (about all I could do since I was bedridden for a few weeks following surgery). I happened to catch the video for Roses and I actually like it. That isn't even close to the type of music I listen to, but it is quite catchy!

I told my boys that their style, especially in Roses, isn't too far off from what I was listening to at their age (13 and 14.) Outkast sounds a little of Earth, Wind & Fire, The Gap Band and the Ohio Players, IMHO, but also has a quality all their own. I told the boys I'm buying the CD, but we have to share it!

I love OutKast so incredibly much...everyone one of their songs...especially Roses...but hey any song with my name in it automatically is pretty good


My favorite OutKast song, though, is "I Like the Way You Move" because it has a special memory attached to it

I love Roses . I haven't seen the video but I really like Outkast.

There really is something "familiar" about their music. They definitely have picked up some of the 70s funk in their music.

I love Outkast, especially "Hey Ya".

I have the CD but I have the NON-CENSORED version and it's definitely got some rather adult lyrics. I don't play certain songs around my daughter.

They include the lyrics with the CD and it most definitely says:

"...See that roses really smell like boo-boo..."
