We decide on an easy day today, Reg is feeling the strain of the enormous Mall walk yesterday so decides to veg by the pool - see he’s now Reggie the Veggie – anyway, we use the time to catch up on some washing and wander round the All Star Movies to take some piccies of the great theming areas of the dalmatians, Herbie and Fantasia etc. Its really made a difference staying on site, we can’t get over the cleanliness of the place and the staff are all so wonderfully friendly. We love Mousekeeping especially and can’t wait to get back each day to see what inventive things they’ve done with the toys, we’ve had Mickey watching the telly, Ruths Donald sitting on the loo, Mickey playing the gameboy, and loads more.
Anyway, we let the kids vote on what they want to do in the afternoon and of course MK wins the day, so we head back over to ride ride and ride again. The Haunted Mansion is now reopened after its refurb so that was number one on the list, a great laugh but not thrilling enough for wide-awake Dan so he gets his fix of Splash Mountain whilst I ride Big Thunder on my own, giggling like a loon with the other people in the carriage nudging each other and smiling sympathetically towards me.
We head for Tomorrowland and yet again board the TTA for another 2 turns around, I notice the Carousel Of Progress is open and we’ve never done this before as its always closed when we go so we tried that one out, I thought it was lovely especially seeing its one of Walts originals.
Dan and Ruth get set to try Space Mountain but the line is huge so I suggest we go back through to Frontierland to catch Spectromagic then rush back here straight after, as we’re unhindered by the wheelchair today it seems to be a great plan, that is until my son lets me down by having an enormous tantrum ‘cos noone wants to ride Stitch again. I’m hiding my head in shame as I can honestly say he’s not usually like that. Anyway Dan Mum and Ruth placate him by going off to ride Stitch again Whilst I find a ciggie corner and smoke myself to death. Arriving back we rush over to frontierland to find all good places for Spectromagic viewing gone already so we stick the kids up a tree and stand on a wall. The parade of course and once again is beautiful. The music astounding, the lights fantastic, well, you know how it goes.
We run straight back to Tomorrowland and Ruth and Dan ride Space Mountain after a 2 minute line!!! Good plan. I’d have really liked to have given this another go but the first year I rode it I came off feeling really queasy, it may have been due to early morning and jet lag etc but I didn’t want to risk it – I HATE feeling ill. We did have a really good spot for Wishes although it was odd seeing it without the castle in view!
We dawdled around the main street shops for a bit and then went back
