Carol Burnett gone with the wind skit

I saw somebodies GWTW pic and it reminded me of this. I remember when she took down the drapes to make a dress and went around with the hanger in her back. LOL. I wasn't a huge Carol Burnett fan and I was young when the shows were new, but this skit cracks me up.

Probably one of the funniest things on TV ever. A classic I've seen it repeated a few times on specials but I'm old enough to remember the original too

Our whole family used to watch the show together and I still remember that episode. We all laughed so hard.

that is a classic. I remember laughing so hard I was crying. When she had the curtain rod and tiebacks still attached, it just about killed me.

OMG! That was one of the top 10 funniest things I ever saw on TV! Does anyone remember her As the Stomach Turns take offs? My favoritie part was when she'd dump the baby in the umbrella stand. Umm, not a "REAL" baby for those of you who never saw it. She was one funny lady.

BTW my favorite funny moment from TV was the All in the Family's episode that dealt with the whole family having the flu and Maude coming to help them out.

Like Tiggeroo, I wasn't a huge fan of Carl Burnett, but OMG that skit was funny. What was the comment she made when she grabbed the drapes? Something about "saw it in a window".

My favorite CB skit was when they are all sitting on the couch talking about the cirucus, and Tim starts talking about the elephants with their trunks together when one sneezes. Harvey Korman litterally falls on the floor. It always makes me laugh so hard when I see that one.

all of her movie spoofs were great, but GWTW was the classic.


you would know whenever tim was ad libbing because he made harvey crack up. a lot of people used to make bets on whether Harvey would lose it during the skit.

I loved the Carol Burnett show and that skit was definitely one of the funniest! I can just see her walking down the staircase now with the curtain rod still through her dress.

Is any cable network showing reruns of The Carol Burnett Show? I LOVED watching that show when I was a kid.

I definitely remember the GWTW skit and the curtain dress .... "I saw it in the window and just had to have it."

The Eunice and Ed bits were priceless! Remember when they were playing Sorry? Even my buddies and I never got THAT cutthroat when playing Risk, and world domination was on the line in that game.
