Nothing to be proud of. You would think she would not want it released. Does not say much for her. Really spoils her image she had created from the Brady Bunch show.

Now I'm itchy, feeling skeeved out and disappointed in Carol Brady all at the same time.

I have a different take on this. She was my neighbor for about 6 years. We lived in a very nice apartment complex overlooking the beach and a marina. It wasn't her primary home, but she spent time there often. Her husband was very ill, and she took devoted care of him. We actually have nice memories of the two of them together out on the large patio. They would sit together and just watch the boats go by.

She was also very gracious and when the rest of us would have our chili cook-offs and wine parties in the public courtyard, she would come down for a short time and be neighborly. She was personable and funny.

So, even though that was about 8 years ago and I wouldn't even call her an acquaintance now, I'm going to guess that this is indeed her memoir, with all of the ups and downs in it. She probably thinks this is funny and interesting and just a true part of her past life, which is what a memoir contains. She's just a person like the rest of us.

This story was in such poor taste.

Nowadays, there is such a thing known as Branding. It is the image & reputation of a product, company or person. Florence just tarnished her's with crabs (literally!)

I think she's trying to shed the "goody two shoes" image but I would not have done this. It happened 40 or 50 years ago and the man is now dead. I feel bad for his family.

I think just a date or a few dates. Even though it was just acting, she was playing his mom. An affair between them would have been ew ew eewww as well!

Ha ha. Serves her right. I wonder if she ever cheated on her husband again after that? Hopefully, she learned her lesson. I wish all cheating one night stands ended in crabs. Then maybe there would be less of them.

Ok, yeah, so I kinda see the point "I've made mistakes and there are results" blah, blah, blah. But could it not have been worded differently. Like " as a result of my affair, I developed a non lethal STD."?

We don't want to know what used to crawl around down Mrs. Brady's privates. (I am praying the tag fairy is in bed already).

At her age, one would think she has the self-confidence to not give a rat's patootie about what her image is. Heck, at my age the rat can shake his patootie any way he wants and I don't care. It's really rather pathetic when someone is in such desperate need of attention that they feel compelled to spill intimate details, especially without their partner's permission.
