Haven't had to deal with a lock out tage system for years but when I worked at Wal-Mart if you tagged the compactor the key went on the wall right next to it. We weren't allowed to pocket it for some reason. Can't tell you how many times we had to shout at people for trying to untag the stupid thing with out first checking if it was clear.

The wrong way to lock it out don't trust anyone. OSHA will have a field day about this if they knew about it.

I concur with a few other people, if you are so horrified at what you've seen, why film it? And then to comment that all they wanted was to get off the ship... yep, and get the video to news outlets I'm sure.

Poor guy, my condolences to his family. What a tragic way to go.

We were on the Dream coming back from Castaway to PC and noticed their boat off in the distance at night around 11 or 12. It wasn't moving and we found it odd. They were also not in port yet when we disembarked.

Ecstasy is based out of Miami, even if this hadn't happened it wouldn't have been in PC with the Dream.

Just another example of how dangerous things can be when onboard a vessel for Crew and passengers. Everyone needs to keep their eyes open to keep themselves safe and family and kids.

Unfortunately we live in a society that videos or takes pictures first, then gets help. Everyone is looking for their 5 seconds of fame. It truly is tragic that this happened and I'm sure it will be investigated. Sadly, incidents like this are usually a result of cutting a corner or not following proper procedures that are in place.
