Sailed on Disney Magic last April 2001 which was great. Last week
went on Carnival Imagination 4 day which stopped in Key West and Cozumel. Traveled with wife & 2 daughters(7 & 10). Ship is
about 8 years old and in excellent shape. The food, entertainment
,and cruise director were very good. Missed the cabin size and
split bathroom of the Magic(6610). Carnival cabins on older ships
are kind of sterile looking but ok for a for 4 day cruise.
In Key West went to Ft. Zachary Taylor park which has a nice beach. Tried to snorkel but to much current so just swam. In
Cozumel went to Chankanaab park which has excelent snorkeling.
Was a 10.00 cab ride from pier and 10.00/person admission.
Park has full facilities and restaurant. Worth the trip
Missed Palos but thought main dining room food was tasty and
well presented. Lots of chair saving on deck on day at sea
something Carnival should address.
Hopefully will sail on Magic (western) in the next year or two
Just wanted to provide a quick comparison for anyone interested.
Thank You
