Now that the Blue Bayou viewing location has changed, I've cancelled my PTN package reservation with Blue Bayou. I added Aladdin's Oasis instead, and plan on seeing the fireworks from there the first night. I would also, however, like to see them from main street and noticed that someone said they booked a table at Carnation for a good view. Has anyone else done this? What time should I make a reservation if there is only one parade (8:15pm) and fireworks (9pm). Thank you!!

I appreciate the advice everyone offers here, it's been so helpful in trip planning :)

Your view of the parade from CC can be fine if you are seated on the patio, close to Main Street. But there is no guarantee of this. For example, you might end up inside with basically no view of the parade. You can request to be seated on the patio, but the CMs will tell you that they can't promise that your request will be filled. You won't have a good view of the fireworks from CC. In order to get a good view, you will have to get to the middle of Main Street as soon as PTN goes by (which will be difficult if you're not done with your meal and haven't yet paid the bill). If you don't have to be sitting on the curb, I would try for a second row spot by the Market House or Refreshment Corner so that you can view PTN and then go right into the middle of Main Street to wait for the fireworks. There is usually a shorter wait for 2nd row spots.

There are so many spots to see the parade and fireworks i dont think you need to worry to much about it. Eat earlier and watch the parade and fireworks by small world, or if you can get right in front of the castle on the main st loop you can have a great view too... But small world is a lot less crowded and more fun to watch imo

I don't see how you could see any fireworks from carnation cafe. The patio area is buildings on 3 sides & a view across to the other side of Main Street, so maybe you can see some projections? I just can't see how it's possible to watch fireworks from that location.

CC is fun if you want to eat at a TS restaurant, especially for breakfast. But if the goal is PTN and fireworks, then it isn't the best choice. On your first night, as you head toward the Aladdin's Oasis viewing area, go on Main Street and take note of good viewing spots and how crowded they are. That info will help you the following night.
