OFF topic, but I wanted to know how you went about getting tickets for that, I have heard it is incredibly hard to go to the Statue of Liberty's crown, because of the limited number of tickets. I so want to do this next year!
It just takes advance planning. All tickets are ordered through www.statuecruises.com (it's the only way to get to Ellis Island and Liberty Island - no private boats.) At that website, you can order tickets "with crown access" up to a year before the date you intend to go. So, if you are going next spring or summer you can actually reserve them now. The cost of the tickets is fairly minimal ($12/adult) and there is no extra charge for "crown access." We were pleasantly surprised that it not only allowed us to go to the crown but we skipped to the front of a line of about 500 people who were waiting for regular entry to the statue pedestal and museum.! We felt like VIPs!
(Of course, we went on a gorgeous weekend day in August so it was very crowded.) The climb is strenuous and not for the claustrophobic - it's about 365 stairs on a narrow spiral staircase. But once you get up there you see the harbor from a vantage point that few get to experience. It was so cool! You could see the writing on the tablet in her hand from the top! Enjoy.

But she still loves Buddy and the show.

). I didn't get too much of a good look though. But it was right around then that it stated to pour. Wonder if I just missed seeing you. I went and got my hair done, had lunch and made it to the bakery at around 3pm.
