Has anyone around these here parts done this tour?

My adult DD has always had a love for elephants and I was planning to surprise her with this tour. At $30 a head it's not like we'll be breaking the bank (although that currently comes to $40.39 in Canadian speak) but I'd like a little feedback before I make a final decision.

TIA

Curious too...My 20 YO DD is also an elephant lover and I booked June 4th as a surprise. Not sure when your trip is but I'll report back when we arrive home!

We did it on 4/30, and I loved it. It's not super long and it's fairly limited in size of the group so it was pretty cool. We learned a lot about the elephants at Animal Kingdom and also had someone from Africa sharing some more insight into them. We've done several different behind the scenes tours and this was definitely a favorite

DH and I did it on 4/22.
Great tour. A real bargain. Beautiful way to spend an hour. Personally, I could spend hours and hours just sitting and watching the elephants.
And having baby Stella there to watch just made it all the better
Then add on learning about various things regarding elephants. Especially about elephant poop. You learn more about elephant poop than you ever thought you needed to know. But you'll find it pretty fascinating.

I am really interested in this tour. Glad to hear positive feedback.

I've been thinking about booking this tour and happy to read some positive feedback. I really like that it's only 1 hour, so it can easily fit into our touring plan and the price point is nice too. We did the Behind the Seeds Tour at Epcot last year which is similar length and it was a really nice little extra. I'm definitely leaning towards booking this one for our upcoming trip.

Thanks for posting this inquiry. I just booked this tour for my family in November -- including my 20 year son who loves elephants! It's affordable and seems like a fun little extra to add to the magic. Happy to hear that others have enjoyed it!

We did the tour earlier this month. It took about the full hour but part of that time is going to the truck, driving to where the observation spot is and then the driving back time as well. You have a lovely, mostly shaded area to stand and watch the elephants. You are not super close but close enough.

There was a fair amount of interesting info given, one of the care givers/handlers was there if you had questions. I think you get about 30 min of actual time with the elephants. They talk about types of elephants, issues facing them in the world, conservation, habits, what they were doing as we watched and why, which ones were which...all kinds of things while you are taking pics and watching them.

We also used ap/dvc discount so that is 15% off, I think.

We enjoyed it.

Glad to hear we can use an AP discount too.

I wish we could book online. Being international I hate calling. Depending on the wait times those calls can end up costing. Oh well.

Thanks again for the feedback gang!

Went in March. Second the above reviews. Thought you got a lot of bang for your buck- and all the money goes to their Conservation effort, not to Disney. Got lucky and Stella was pretty front and center quite a bit of the time.
